Clarksville, Tennessee, in Montgomery County, is a bustling city built by the tobacco trade. The Customs House Museum & Cultural Center, in the city's historic district, was originally constructed as a US Post Office during the tobacco boom. Now it has been converted into art gallery, history center, and hands-on children's museum. Just outside of town is the Dunbar Cave State Park, where visitors can hike through caverns that were once mined for gun powder and used for big band concerts.

"We're a small batch artisan distillery in a part of America that doesn't worship novelty or look favorably upon flashes in the pan. How do we know? We grew up here in Clarksville, Tennessee, and our give-a-damn runs pretty high." -Matt Cunningham, Proprietor We offer tours, tastings, and have a gift shop. Make sure to check our website for availability and book online. We are also open for both tours and tastings on Sundays.
We attended a wedding here over the New Year and had an awesome experience. There were great views of the distillery room and awesome space for wedding events. An open floor plan allowed for ample seating and dancefloor as well. Parking is plentiful with easy entry/exit road access.

I LOVE going to Liberty Park and Marina. There are plenty of picnic spots. The grounds are well managed. My one critical complaint is the presence of lazy, complacent city workers. They sit around playing on their phones or goofing off together. It's not lunch time. I'm betting the boss doesn't know what's happening. You can fish from the banks. There's an exercise station. There's a play ground for kids. There are dog parks. There are pavilions. There's a nice walking path.

The park has a great playground for the kids. It is located right beside a wendy's. It is great anytime of year. You can walk by the river on concrete sidewalks. There are beautiful trees everywhere. At Christmas time the hole park is lite up with decorations. The boys loved the lighted tunnel.

There wasn't a battle here, so this museum focuses on the impact of the war on the civilians under Union occupation, mostly women and children whose men were of in the Confederate army. It also demonstrates the impact on the slaves, who left their masters to work for the Union and in many cases became bluecoat soldiers. A different orientation from the battlefields and a very well done presentation.

A nice place for both adults and children. The bubble room was a big hit with my grandchildren! There are art exhibits, as well as military and historical exhibits about Clarksville. May want to bring a sweater or light jacket as the museum can be rather chilly( to help preserve the exhibits I'm guessing- children's explorer room not as chilly). There are elevators for those who prefer or can't use the stairs.

The Roxy Regional Theatre is always such a great date night choice. My husband and I had a wonderful time and have seen a few shows that we thoroughly enjoyed. Great alternative to the same old movie theatre experience. Located in the middle of downtown Clarksville. Tons of stuff to do and restaurants around the town.

No commitment paint class. Choose a painting class from our online calendar and register for it. We supply the canvas, brushes, paint--you leave with a finished painting! Feel free to bring wine or other drinks. Great for date night, girls' night out, or just a fun time to explore your artistic side.
What a great way to spend an evening with friends. No painting talent required. Wine does help calm the nerves. Even had men in our class. Will be doing this again.

This is the perfect little spot to explore nature. My children love to come and explore the creek bed. They would splash around as long as I would let them. The hiking trails are clean, well maintained and well marked. There are plenty of open spots for kids to be free. I love this place because it encourages exploration and isn't hands off or prohibitive. Climb. Jump. Run. Play. It is the perfect spot for curious adventurers of all ages.
