The 15 HA Australian Garden is an excellent display of Australia and its plant life from the arid desert to tropical areas and running streams and lakes. It is well designed and interesting with an excellent display of the diversity of plants found in Australia. For somewhere for a pleasant walk or to study in detail the diverse range of Australian plants you cannot beat the Royal Botanic Gardens Australian Garden at Cranbourne. An excellent example of a well-planned exhibition of native plants.

Love this park. I think the picnic areas are expensive to hire but if you don’t you could risk missing out so it’s best to hire. But a little expensive. The place is beautiful amazing & love coming here it’s pet friendly too & kids have a great play area.

Berwick Springs is a beautiful maintained walking, bike riding and outdoor playground for all ages. There are often lots of people there exercising and taking in the views of the picturesque lake. A very relaxing place to catch up and enjoy.

Originally part of the historic Springfield Estate, the Old Cheese Factory allows visitors to step back in time and explore the heritage buildings, enjoy the beautifully-landscaped gardens, large children’s playground and barbecue/picnic facilities. The Old Cheese Factory, features the 1860's Springfield Homestead, Cheese Factory and Kitchen Wash House which stands as a tall reminder of Australia’s early history. The grounds feature a large playground and secret garden, with indoor and outdoor spaces available for weddings, celebrations, functions, events, art exhibitions, and is home to the Berwick Farmer's Market and local community groups and services.
Travel from gippsland often to the farmers market here and quite often have morning tea or lunch in the cafe. The food is delicious and the jams and chutneys to buy are really yum. Its a really nice atmosphere and the gardens are ovely. Well worth a visit.

I've been shopping at Akoonah for my fresh for many years. We are lucky to live in the 5km bubble of Akoonah and unlike most things during lockdown, the new style market is sooooooo much better! I absolutely love supporting the local growers and small food vans so have enjoyed the efficiency of them being the only stallholders allowed to trade under COVID restrictions. I get in and around to them without the hassle of having to carry my groceries past all the other stalls and I've been actually buying more from then than ever. We have a large family so it takes me a few trips back and forth to the car to get fruit, veg, dairy etc, with my last trip being coffee and breakfast to take home for everyone. I know it's probably controversial to say, but I would much prefer the market to rethink their pre COVID layout and moving forward set the food stalls all up in the one area and leave the other stalls for those wishing to have a slow walk and browse.
