Cirencester (/ˈsaɪrənsɛstər/ ( listen), occasionally /ˈsɪstər/ ( listen); see below for more variations) is a market town in east Gloucestershire, England, 93 miles (150 km) west northwest of London. Cirencester lies on the River Churn, a tributary of the River Thames, and is the largest town in the Cotswold District. It is the home of the Royal Agricultural University, the oldest agricultural college in the English-speaking world, founded in 1840. The town's Corinium Museum is well known for its extensive Roman collection. The Roman name for the town was Corinium, which is thought to have been associated with the ancient British tribe of the Dobunni, having the same root word as the River Churn. The earliest known reference to the town was by Ptolemy in AD 150.

I recently stayed in Juniper House, 33 Mill Village, Lower Mill Estate. I booked the cottage on the website "HomeAway" and the property ID is # 8078387. When my family and I arrived in the estate we were pleasantly surprised that Caroline had stocked the property with extras. The cottage was extremely clean and there were just nice touches from complementary ground coffee, toiletries, full barbecue setup in the outdoor porch and a comprehensive guide to the locality. The cottage is within a stone’s throw from the various swimming pools, tennis courts and lake (for outdoor sports/kayaking). The layout and space of the cottage is ample for a family of up to 6 people and we all found our beds comfortable. The lounge and kitchen are connected, and the former has large sofas and a swivel sofa to stretch out on! Cirencester with its history museum and marketplace, Bourton on the water, Tetbury (site of the national Arboretum) and Gloucester are only a short drive away. For those with more time on their hands, Bristol and Bath are about an hour each way. I recommend the cottage highly and having spoken to Caroline numerous times, I found her courteous, warm, and attentive in ensuring her guests are (very) well informed and are satisfied with their stay. I have stayed in a quite a few holiday lets in Cornwall and the Lake District, and my stay in Mill Village surely defines the standard regarding a property owner’s consideration of their guests as well as helpful communication.
