My wife and I booked a kimono photshot here and it was a totally great experience culminating in asome beautiful photos of the two of us as a Japan visit keepsake. Our photographer Sayaka was highly professional in positioning us a variety of poses and accessories (katana, fan, umbrella). She is very friendly and made us feel totally comfortable. She gives you the option of group shots as well as individual shots.. There are a variety of package photoshoots available. We chose the one hard copy photo with 5 digital copies sent to your e-mail which I received before I even left Japan aand add-on of having my wife's hair and makeup done. Sayaka uploads all of the photos and we all reviewed the photos to delete photos until we got down to the one we wanted to pint and the ones to be sent digitally. Hard choice as all the photos were great, Beautiful kinonos and poses andeit difficult to choose, If you want a different Japan experience highly recommend this place and Sayaka to do a kimono photoshoot. Very near the Namba train station makes it easy to get to. Highly recommend. for single, couple or family.

The food replica making experience of starting time depends on the menu. Starting time is 10:00‐takoyaki 11: 00 - Sushi or(and) Japanese box lunch 13: 00 - seasonal tart, or(and)seasonal parfait 14: 00 - takoyaki 15: 00 - Sushi or(and)Japanese box lunch 16: 00 - seasonal tart or(and) seasonal parfait 17: 00 - All menus
Signed up for both the seasonal dessert (It was a Halloween themed dessert when I went!) making activity and the Takoyaki making activity and I had so much fun! You can book a slot online & they’ll send you a confirmation email that you’ll have to present at the counter on the day of the activity. The site’s in English so no problems there! ???? The instructor, I believe her name was Luna, was wonderful. Her instructions were simple to understand and despite the language barrier, we were able to communicate really well in simple English and Japanese. She was very encouraging and bubbly and that made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable. ???? The Takoyaki took a day to dry and the parfait took about 3 days to dry, so I recommend you do this at the start of your Osaka trip so it dries before you leave & you can pack it into your luggage without much trouble! I did a solo experience and had a good time. I’d definitely recommend it this to everyone whether you’re travelling alone, with friends or with your family. I imagine little kids would have a blast doing this hands-on art activity! Thank you, Design Pocket Osaka! ☺️

From traditional authentic Japanese swords to contemporary kitchen knives, knowledgeable staff serve you with the widest selection of over 2,000 knives and 100 sharpening stones and tools, be sure to bring your passport to receive Tax Free price.
I had read some varying reviews for knife shops in Japan. Complaints on price, quality and the dreaded language barrier. This shop was a pleasant surprise. It's laid out in the same way as many knife shops in Japan with a couple of positive points. They have staff that speak good English, and they are on the tax free scheme. What I knew going in was I wanted a vegetable knife. Other than that I was at their mercy. We had a long conversation about stainless versus carbon steel, went through their range and differing lengths. Never once felt pressured to buy. As we didn't have our passports (for the tax free benefit) we agreed to come back the following day. They put my chosen blade to one side without asking for a deposit. The next day I had it engraved (free of charge) and neatly packed. Didn't get any pressure on the upsell of a whetstone or accessories which was nice. Overall couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. I think it's important to understand the price of these knives but I have to say after getting it home, I've never known anything like it. I used to be pushing my weight into a sweet potato with my old knives, this one glides through! Added benefit of finding the lady had put a nice cloth in the bag to wrap up the knife too.

Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shotengai, also known as "Kitchenware Street," is a shopping arcade in Osaka Namba lined with specialty shops selling cookware, kitchenware, restaurant supplies, and unique souvenirs.
Anything you could possibly need for a kitchen is here! Prices are quite good due to the wholesale nature of the area. There is a small supermarket that has rare foodstuffs from overseas. If you're a wannabe chef, this is the place for you.

Serious shoppers will be sure to find something they like along this huge underground shopping street. It also serves a functional purpose as a passage connecting multiple train stations.
This is a huge underground place where there are lots of shops and eateries. Definitely a great place to visit when it rains and its linked to Namba station which is just 2 stops from Osaka station.
