The site is spread across 4 acres of woodland and has exclusive use of Rivington Lower reservoir the largest expanse of water between the Midlands and the Lake District and is often referred to as Lancashire’s mini Lake District. Visited foot golf for the first time yesterday with my wife and 8 year old daughter and had great fun. On arrival we were met by friendly staff who explained rules and how to get around the course. Overall we had a great time doing something a little bit different and recommend to others.

Pet’s Corner is based in Astley Park. The Brothers of Charity Services manage Pets Corner as a social enterprise and it is open to the public every day of the week. It is situated next to the refreshment kiosk and children play areas (one of the most vibrant areas in the park). It houses giant rabbits, huge African tortoises, crazy chipmunks and many more animas.

Lots of animals to see that will interest young children and packs of feed are available. Opportunity to wash hands before leaving and simple explanations and names of the animals are on all the pens leading to familiarity with favourite animals on subsequent visits. Well run and a delightful addition to all that Astley Park offers to families.
