An amazing piece of historical gem. Beautifully preserved despite its tumultuous history spanning across multiple eras. From the Rajputs to Mughals and afghans this place has been visited by who is who of the Indian history and has so many stories to offer. Be it tales of rajputi bravery, rani padmavti's legend, mira bai's unparalleled devotion or khilji's savagery (who destroyed quite a bit of the place). Be it the monumental vijay stambha, kirti stambha, rani padmavati's palace or suraj pol (in front of which numerous monumental battles were fought) every place has chilling stories to offers. The fort premises are maintained by Archaeological Society of India which offers tour guides and a light & sound show at reasonable prices.Every monument inside palace premises can be driven up and takes about a 3 hours to cover at leisuerely pace (ie if you go up victroy and kirti towers). The light and sound show is offered during the evening in a surreal settings and is a must attend.

Though the place is in ruins, you need to imagine as to what a Royal Place it must have been - The Palace of Maharaja, Queens's Palace, The tunnels leading to Bathing place, The Veranda, The Stable all the paraphernalia. This place cant be restored and therefore one has to enjoy the beauty through their imagination based on the narration of Guides. A Guide is a must to appreciate every part of this Palace.

Amazing Peace and beauty we had enjoyed at Ratan Singh Palace. A palace with a beautiful view of sunset, ruins help enhance its beauty and the little pond by its side. Spend a good time.

There are 7 gates one can have while entering Chittaurgarh fort..Ram pole is one of the most prevalent and important gate..the main entrance to the fort.. Phatta’s Memorial is dedicated to a 16-year old brave child named Phatta, who laid his life while battling with the enemy to defend the Chittorgarh Fort. It is located inside the Ram Pol, close to the assembly hall. The Ram Pol is the main entrance of the Chittorgarh Fort. It symbolises the Hindu culture and stands as the epitome of Rajputana valour. A temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Rama is situated nearby.
