Patalkot, literally meaning a hidden space, is a rare valley of its kind sparsely inhabited by primitive tribe called Bharia. This place was untouched and hidden from outside world till last quarter of 20th century. The tribe were not connected even from there neighbors outside a closed valley which is like a lowered bowl surrounded by steep Mountains of Satpura range. There was almost no path to reach to its habitations which was very thinly scattered. All these aspects made this valley unique and spacial. I liked visiting this place in Tamiya block of Chhindwara district. One must have an entire day to go down the valley and now a motor-able road has got constructed to make it easier to go to villages. One can imagine the nature and primitive life at this place.

No words to explain the feeling here at chhota mahadev. What a sweet water with medicinal power in it. One must visit this place if you are planning to go Chhindwara.

Its definitely worth a visit at this holy place where you will see the spectacular sleeping idol of Lord Hanuman. There is always some water flowing from the belly button from this idol. It's really attractive and fascinating idol. You have to park you car at some distance from the actual temple. But there are some arrangement made for physically challenged or people to carry them to temple.

This tribal museum is named after a well-known tribal freedom fighter, the late Badal Bhoi. It was established in 1954. It gives glimpse of lifestyle and culture of Scheduled Tribes of the undivided state of Madhya Pradesh (M.P. and Chhattisgarh). This museum is quite smaller in comparison to museum of Bhopal but still it is worth visiting. You get to see arrows, bows, utensils, musical instruments, idols, baskets, fish, bird and animal traps, etc used by tribals. Section of tribal dances is also good. There are two picture galleries, one in main building and one on way to main building. Views of tribal homes, with life size plaster of Paris statues have been created in some galleries. A gallery depicts designs of tribal tattoos. Another picture gallery depicts names of some animals in tribal dialect.
Entry fee is Rs 10. Sadly photography is prohibited. The museum is closed on Mondays and Gazetted holidays. There were toilets in the campus but no tea/snacks stalls. However, there were some swings and other activities for children. There is a fair sized open space and an open-air stage which is perhaps used for related activities.

Visited the waterfall last week while going to Chhindwara from Nagpur, but the experience was disappointing. The fall was completely dry and the way to fall is also not clear (even on google map).
