Chez Glass Lass

I purchased a gorgeous Sea Urchin plate designed by Kiln Art while in Cape Breton, and then purchased a second plate while in Chez Glass Lass, not realizing this is the home of Kiln Art. Upon returning home I washed both plates and one cracked into 3 pieces. I contacted Kiln Art and sent photos of the plate, asking how to repair. Paul replied stating this is a rare occurrence, cannot be fixed... but they would replace! Amazing and generous response - I received my new plate at no charge from Chez Glass Lass today. It is stunning. Not only are Paul and Sharon talents artists, they stand behind the integrity of their art! Please make effort to stop n Chester and visit Chez Glass Lass - you will not be disappointed?

Started the day off with an amazing massage by Don. Participated in one of the rituals in the dry sauna. Many trips to the cold and hot tubs. Afternoon was spent in the heated hammock :) Favourite part would be the wet sauna with salt scrub after. Tip- stay the whole day

Chester Golf Club

Chester offers visitors the magic of a classic golf course in a seaside setting. The course routing provides a golfing adventure that is both challenging and enjoyable for all skill levels. It is a joy to play, whether you aspire to break one hundred twenty or par of seventy. Any missed shots will be due to the distracting beauty of the Atlantic Ocean, the islands, and the colourful sailboats tacking in the wind. After your round, come in and sample some of the finest seafood found in Nova Scotia. We're told the seafood chowder is superb.

Nice dining Room overlooking the first hole and Chester harbour. Three choices of a table, outside on the deck, in the sun room or in the main dining room. Good menu but we went for seafood, I had the seafood chowder, EXCELLENT comes covered in a mound of lobster, lobster sandwich loaded with lobster, fish cakes two very large, fish chowder again excellent just didn’t have as much lobster. Service excellent with passable wine list and good selection of beers and ales.altogether well worth a visit.

Graves Island Provincial Park

We are walking Graves Island Park 4/6 times a week, with Covid-19 with us the park is busy , parking lot has normally 12 or more vehicles, a great ans safe area to walk with pets, ice is gone ! South Shore Rocks is a group of painters who share their skills with very nice sketches painted on small stones hidden along the trail, suggesting to re-hide, take home or just take a picture and share on F/B South Shore Rocks. Lots of small birds[many like to be fed] on land and sea. This is a nice quiet place to have a peaceful walk.

These small historic towns always blow me away with their quaintness and charm. This one is certainly no exception. Our GPS meandered us through town along the waterfront, which was lovely and in a round about manner we ended up in the historic centre of town. The Village Emporium and Going Coastal Fine Art were two of the lovely shops available to browse in.
