Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

There was not a bad seat in the house for our latest visit to view Soledad Barrio's Nacho Flamenco. It was pleasure to view this master dancer and the new talent emerging in her company.

The KGB Espionage Museum presents the biggest in the whole world and never-before-seen collection of items covering the activities of KGB agents and revealing the methods that underlay many of history's top secret espionage operations.
Came in with a friend to see the museum - a wonderful collection of eclectic pieces from the old world. Fascinating displays and very well- versed tour guide (Danihl) who gave us some super insight into the world of the Cold War. Highly recommended.

The theater is intimate and comfortable with good sight lines, I was able to reserve the last two seats for the last performance of London Assurance and it was a great afternoon. I am looking forward to the rest of the season''s performance schedule.

We LOVED the Chelsea Market from the history of the building (old Nabisco factory), art at every turn, delicious food stalls and artisan market we could have spent hours here easily! Adjacent to the High Line, it was a perfect way to spend a day!

This is a great museum. There are three galleries, one devoted to special exhibits. All the exhibits change every 6 month as they rotate through their 50,000 garments covering 250 years of fashion. The special exhibit gallery was closed when I went, as it was preparing for an opening of a new exhibit the following week: Ballerina: Fashion's Modern Muse. I'm going to try and get back for that! This is not a large museum and that it's free is a real bonus! Definitly worth a stop. The hours are: Tues - Fri Noon - 8pm Saturday 10am - 5pm Closed Sundays, Mondays, and the following legal holidays: July 4th,Thanksgiving Day,Christmas Day,New Year’s Day

The Rubin Museum of Art is an arts oasis and cultural hub in New York City's vibrant Chelsea neighborhood that inspires visitors to make powerful connections between contemporary life and the art and ideas of the Himalayas, India, and neighboring regions. With a diverse array of thought-provoking exhibitions and programs-including films, concerts, and on-stage conversations-the Rubin provides immersive experiences that encourage personal discoveries and spark new ways of seeing the world. Emphasizing cross-cultural connections, the Rubin is a space to contemplate the big questions that extend across history and span human cultures.
I was flying nine hours on the plane from Munich just to finally visit The Rubin. It was an excellent decision to do so. My expectations were highly exceeded. I had the honor to sit in the stunning Shrine Room with the amazing Tashi Chodron throughout an awakening practice. It was magical. Afterwords the fascinating and warm hearted Tashi invited me for tea and I learned even more about Tibetan Buddhism. I also participated in the "Rethink your future" workshop with German Prof. Gabriele Oettingen. We went through a couple of very emotional cases and I thought The Rubin is just the right place for this. The entire setting is breathtaking, and of very high standard. There are a lot of things going on at The Rubin and I had the feeling that a little sympathetic community had formed since people were just dropping in all the time who all knew each other to have tea or something to eat in the nice restaurant. Also the bookstore is absolutely great. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. I wish we had this in Germany. I'm very grateful I could experience this. It won't be long and I will be back for more. Thank you, Rubin!!

This gallery showcases artists that have already made themselves a huge name. Jeff Koons, Richard Sarah, Damian Hirst and others. It usually showcases large pieces of art. Interactive with the audience. Closed on Mondays.
