We came to the area during the week so there wasn't much to do as most places nearby are only open on weekends. I saw this place as a suggestion on this site so decided to go. We were not disappointed. What an amazing walk. Beautiful and peaceful. Lots of old headstones. Definitely worth the time. I'm so glad we went. We also went over the the old church across the street and boy what a treat that was. Wow! We took many pictures. Don't forget to walk around back to see the old outhouse :)

This is one of the best smaller military museums I have been to. It is a lot larger on the inside than it appears from the I-5 freeway nearby. It covers all U.S. wars in a general way with specific attention given to vets of the surrounding geographical area. Its collection of smaller hand and crew-fed weapons is vast. The collection includes a Sten machine gun, and I could not recall seeing one before. It has specific hours and a modest entrance fee.

The last Saturday of each month is a Murder Mystery Dinner Train Ride. Special events celebrate the holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day. Pumpkin Trains and the Polar Express and Santa Steam Trains complete a year-long itinerary of train excursions. Cab Rides and group charters for birthday, reunions, and company parties are available upon request.
It was a great afternoon! We are not first time visitors on the train. Our kids LOVE the ride - one loves trains, the other loves the views! We got there early and perused the gift shop - great gifts for train fanatics - which can sometimes be hard to find. Took a few selfies with the train and we were on our way! Crew was friendly and their uniforms added to the experience. Such a pretty ride along the river and through ag lands. A charming ride and unique experience!

Old growth trees, spectacular river scenery. Quiet and serene. Of course, I visited at the end of the season. Probably noisier when the campsites are full. The RV spaces are big, lots of privacy. The road in is narrow, as are the turn ins to each site. I needed help getting my small, 22 Ft Class B, in at the right angle. But, once settled in, ahhhhhh. Extensive hiking/walking paths take you through a magical forest environment. Will definitely be back for a longer stay. Note, rain gear is needed. Even a light drizzle means lots of water dripping from the cedars. No fun getting a cold trickle down the back of your neck!
