Panama Rocks Scenic Park

Explore a half-mile long ridge of 60-foot high rock forming crevices, passageways, and caves hidden in an ancient forest! Located just 15 minutes from Chautauqua Lake, Panama Rocks is one of the top-rated attractions in Chautauqua County based on independent reviews on TripAdvisor. The Panama Rocks formations are surrounded by a one mile long hiking trail, but most guests enjoy going off of the main trail to explore! Visitors spend anywhere from one hour to the entire day having fun and exploring the park. Picnic tables are available. The trail is relatively easy to hike (Class 1) and guests of all ages enjoy it, but there are roots, rocks, and uneven ground; it is still a hiking trail! Plan your trip to explore one of the most fun and popular "things to do" in Western New York today! Try axe throwing with Axcellent Adventures at Panama Rocks! Reservations recommended!

This place is a perfect day trip with the family to get outside and take in nature. It is fine for all ages. There are some steep inclines but for the most part it is easy enough to guide the little ones to have them stay safe. The trail is about 1 mile long and worth the trip but to really enjoy this park, you need to go off trail and explore the massive rocks!

I think the National Comedy Centre is worth a drive to Jamestown, tbh. The use of technology to personalize and enhance your experience is quite awesome. My favourites included seeing some uber-famous costumes up close and personal, comedy karaoke (turns out, I'm hilarious!), the Blue Room, celebrating the non-PG side of comedy and more. On top of it all, they have a bar with reusable "to-go" cups - and you're allowed "to go" anywhere in the museum with your reasonably-priced drink. So bloody civilized. A must-visit!

A truly amazing summer experience. Stay In the old hotel with its wooden rocking chairs and quaint rooms with glorious views from upstairs rooms. It’s like taking a step back in time. The educational programs are superb as is entertainment. Always enlightening and restorative. Genuinely sorry to miss it this year with the pandemic but look forward to a return next year....

The lighthouse and military museum were very good. The military museum had the most authentic artifacts we have ever seen. WW1 uniforms, a Nazi flag taken off a building in Italy, boots from Desert Storm. A room for each branch of the military. Kudos to the dedicated volunteers who oversee this priceless collection. We enjoyed our visit very much.
