This place has a history. Great to see the strength and determination of the army, cutting through the mountain under the adverse circumstances and finally reaching the fort.

Whenever we talk about Chanderi, we will find first picture as Badal Mahal. Actually it is not a palace, as per its name but its status is very high, It is mainly a beautifully carved & designed gateway inside a complex. From outside, it looks as if we are entering into a palace building but from inside, we will find a large garden area with lush green grass and Badal Mahal gate as the main attraction of the complex. In past, when VIP guests visits Chanderi, they were formally welcomed here thus its importance is very high. During Chanderi sightseeing, tourists should must visit this place and take photographs. We can visit this place in daytime and it is just close to Jama Masjid. Approach road is good, can be reached by car or bus, but after passing through congested local fruit & vegetable market. Hiring guide for Chanderi local sightseeing is highly recommended as variety of monuments are scattered over large area, in very good condition. Without proper knowledge, we may miss important places.

Sehzadi ka Rauza is within city monument in Chanderi town of Madhya Pradesh state. Till now, their is no entrance fee to visit this monument. In past, this place was like a island, means surrounded by water but now a days, it is on dry-land with some more Cenotaphs surrounding to it. It is tallest among its nearby cenotaphs. Is past it is very colourful monument with usage of different colours at its top but now a days, other colours almost disappeared. It top seems damaged with the passage of time still it is very photogenic from outside, as well as from inside. Their are multiple graves inside the monument so visit this monument in daytime to do its best photography.

A part of the chanderi fort this gate was once known for its grandeur but after it was attacked and destroyed by Babur which ofcourse was followed by massacres leading to defeat of Chanderi kingdom. That’s why the door which once was called ‘hathi darwaza’ (Elephant gate) is since then known as ‘khoni darwaza’
