The Rhino and Lion Reserve is an excellent venue to spend an afternoon or morning viewing some of Africa’s most beautiful animals in an attractive and open environment close to Jo’burg and Pretoria. Reachable in about an hour’s drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria it’s particularly suited if you do not have the time to visit one of the larger reserves further away. Important: Do not confuse with the Lion Park which is much smaller and does not have the same number of animals. Here also the Lions/Cheetahs and African Wild Dogs although not roaming free with the other animals are in much bigger and more humane spaces. This greatly reduces their aggressive behavior towards the vehicles viewing them.
Inclusions: Bottled water, Driver/guide, Professional guide, Hotel pickup and drop-off, Private tour, Lunch
Exclusions: Alcoholic drinks (available to purchase), Food and drinks, unless specified, Gratuities

A large amount of this trip is private and therefore safer and more flexible. As part of our package, we provide an additional private extended game drive (5 hours+) with our vehicle going a little further into the reserve than the lodge’s vehicle, two drives in total. This is unique and because our driver/guide is very experienced it maximizes your animal viewing. On the Mmilo private extended drive, we get out and walk at the waterholes and dams at the special viewing points. This enables you to experience the sounds, sights, and smells of the reserve more closely. Our private transfer to the lodge and back is done in our touring SUV On the way to and from the safari, we can add visits to other attractions such as the Elephant Sanctuary, Walk with Lions and Sun City, This is also the best and most cost-effective option for a short safari from Cape Town where there is no option for a safari that is realistic or worthwhile. Just fly into Lanseria airport. We pick you up from there.
Inclusions: Dinner, Breakfast, Lunch, Local taxes, National Park fees, Bottled water

This tour is private just for you with our guide. Johannesburg is the only major city in the world built because of an underground resource, gold instead of a river or port. For over 100 years it was the world's biggest producer of the yellow metal. Johannesburg and the township of Soweto together make up arguably Africa's most interesting city, least of all because of the vast diversities in race, culture, and wealth of its inhabitants. During this full-day private tour, your informative guide highlights places and events that changed the cultural and political landscape of South Africa and in some cases the world. See the former homes (both old and recent) of Nelson Mandela and spend time exploring the Apartheid Museum. Your customizable itinerary includes lunch on vibrant Vilakazi Street in Soweto. Changes can be made to add going down a gold mine, seeing Gandhis home, who, during his 20 years in South Africa he became the human rights activist we know him as today.
Inclusions: Hotel pickup and drop-off, Local taxes, Professional guide, Bottled water, Lunch

This tour is private with just you and your guide in the vehicle. To the west of Johannesburg where the Highveld starts its descent to the Bushveld from the lies, an area of undulating hills referred to as the Cradle of Humankind. It gains its name from the huge amounts of fossil remains of early man and our more apelike ancestors discovered here in the dolomite caves just beneath its surface. The geology of the region has made it one of the richest fossil-bearing regions in the world not just of early ape-men but many other extinct creatures. Sterkfontein Caves are where the original discoveries were made and it is here we make first stop. The modern interpretive centre has replicas of the fossils and an in-depth description of their relevance to mankind's family tree as well as fossils of other species. You are taken down into the caves by the resident cave guide. There is some low bending, but for the main part the caves are spacious but a reasonable level of fitness is required.

Stephen was the BEST tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals & the park itself. We had a very fun small group & were able to see many different types of animals. Stephen provided us with extra perks like the Lion & Wild dog feedings and the Wonder Mine. The Wonder Mine was an unexpected occurance I didn’t know I had been missing! It was beautiful and unreal. Everything about the day was great; from the giraffe and Springbok, to the baby warthogs (so adorable) and the wildebeest! Every single part of this trip was nothing short of amazing! Thank you Stephen for your warm smile and knowledge of the park, animals, & Jozi in general. I will definitely share your info with my travel group! I wish you much success in the future - you truly, truly deserve it!
