Well worth the climb to the top for the views. And the late 1400's clock mechanism on the 6th floor was interesting.

The church was built between 1493 and 1525. The presence of the fortified citadel meant that this fortified church was built later than most in the area. Inside the church is an Austrian Baroque style altar from 1735. The organ is one of the ten largest and most important such organs in Transylvania. After many fires the roof was fully restored in 1830.
Not very rich in information, but restored looks pretty good. You have nowhere to buy some souvenirs. Interesting to climb in the attic of the church.

Great historic and architectural site, part of the old defense system of the city. Nice way to have a first encounter with Sibiu.

One of a few towers which are part of the old defense system of the city. This one being one of the most elaborate and dominant.

This is a nice tower even though you can't go inside. It was near a park area and we were able to walk up the covered stairs and take photos.

We were almost run over as we were being total tourists taking pictures of each other in the doorway, so be careful. This is a well preserved gate/tower and we enjoyed walking throughout the city looking at all of the fortifications and gates.
