The central Norwegian area of Trondelag has its ideological capital in Trondheim, founded by Viking king Olaf Tryggvason in the 10th century and the seat of Norway's power until the 13th. Today, it's still the country's third-largest city, a university town with a rich culture. Trondelag's western offshore islands of Hitra and Froya are popular for outdoor adventures like camping, hiking, biking, snorkeling and scuba diving. They are also one of the world's best spots for deep sea fishing.

A great tour to get to know the city. For me as a Norwegian it was interesting to see how a foreigner sees the Norwegian culture and can put it in context with his own experience. And he is very knowledgeable and clearly has a deep interest for the city and it's history. Erik

Take an moderate 5 to 7 hour hike through Dovrefjell National Park in search of the magnificent wild musk ox. From your experienced guide, learn how to look for these woolly, hardy, cold-weather beasts and gain insight into local flora and fauna as you walk. There might also be a chance to see reindeer and mountain grouse during the hike if we are lucky. The hike is suitable for most people who are used to moderate hiking.

Robert was a wonderful guide. We were a family with 3 generations, all with slightly different needs. He adapted the trail to the pace of grandchildren and grandparents whilst keeping it engaging for us all. There were a barrage of questions which he handled well that allowed us to plan the rest of our trip. I would highly recommend Robert.
