San Juanito is a lovely option to spend a day. Whether you only wish to eat lunch and have a glass of wine taking in the spectacular view of the vines and the Peña de Bernal or you wish to spend a whole weekend in their perfectly setup guesthouse, San Juanito has something for everyone to enjoy. One may go to this place with friends, family or significant other. They organise many events, including the traditional ones you would expect in a vineyard and/or winery like harvest festivals, and tours of the grounds accompanied by their expert enologist who explains the whole process of vine growing and wine making. San Juanito also offers carefully designed yet unpretentious but delicious dinners, luncheons, equestrian festivals and many more. Their proximity to the aerodrome and the quaint towns of Tequisquiapan and Bernal makes it the perfect setting for a hot air balloon ride and a romantic getaway or an adventure with family or friends. One could simply arrive any given weekend, order a delicious pizza, a glass of any of their multi awarded wines and sit in the shade of their terrace to enjoy the peace and quiet of this blessed place in the Mexican countryside. Wear a hat, bring a cozy coat for the sunset and be ready to enjoy a truly splendid time in San Juanito. The owners and staff will bend over backwards to make your visit a memorable one.

Finca Sala Vive by Freixenet Mexico

This tour is widely recommended. In our case we were lucky to have Miguel Cruz as a sommelier and guide. Miguel is very knowledgeable about everything to do with the property and services. He is definitely a great asset for this lovely place. We tried 3 different wines, all of them were so nice that at the end of the tour we bought 2 bottles to go, which price was very reasonable. Also I want to mention that the tapas we got while testing the wines were delicious. I will definitely visit again.

Vinedos Cuna de Tierra

What started as a tour of the vineyard with a light tapas and wine tasting turned into an incredible culinary experience. The relatively unknown wine has been in existence for 14 years and is doing great things with a bright and crisp Semillon in Torre de Tierra. Then came a gastronomical experience that should be in New York. Presentations with all locally grown ingredients were of CIA quality and taste. I was totally amazed. The pairings of the wine were perfect. I haven’t had this great a time in Napa (with perhaps one exception). Totally incredible hidden treasure.

Bodega Dos Buhos

Reviewed By Roxymex - Chicago, United States

This organic winery only 20 minutes from San Miguel Allende has wines that you only can find in fancy restaurants and hotels in Mexico. Including an orange wine that is only found ant Pujol. We did the red pairing and we got in love with their Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine has an unique nose of artichoke (The land used to be an artichoke farm) and to the taste is well balance with red fruits medium tannins and medium acidity. With plans to expand this is a fun visit. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
