I really enjoyed this tour. It is in a van, so there is no walking involved. The windows are wide and the seats are comfy. Sister Bybee is a delightful and informed guide and had answers to all our questions and some we did not ask! In addition to seeing how this huge working cattle ranch is run, we had a visual experience with a ton of birds - egrets, roseate spoonbills, cormorants and wild turkeys...and an alligator. If you enjoy the outdoors and learning the history and workings of a huge ranch, make an appointment and come enjoy. Bonus- it is free!

Between the farm stops, we will note points of interest, and facts about different farms, disciplines during the drive. Each stop is about 20 to 30 Mins with a " WALKING TOUR" of each facility. Children are loved and welcome but, please THIS TOUR IS NOT SUITABLE FOR SMALL CHILDREN . You will see this in reviews of past guests. Tour meets at Tack Shack of Ocala 481 SW 60th Ave. Ocala.
We would highly recommend Farm Tours of Ocala. The owner, Karen, provided a wonderful tour of several horse farms where we were able to see the full spectrum of caring for and breeding thoroughbreds and Arabian horses. With Karen's decades of experience and invaluable connections, we got beyond the gates and behind the scenes, providing us with a very rare opportunity well worth the price of admission! If you love horses, you will love this tour.

What a great opportunity to get some time outside with friends doing something relaxing and delicious. The staff are very friendly, prices are great, but most importantly there are excellent blueberries and a lot of them. Everything is set up so that it is easy to move around without being on top of other people. Definitely a full-filling tradition to make with kids.

Visiting Lake Meadows is more than wonderful food to bring home and enjoy! You can walk around and visit the animals on the grounds, pick out eggs that the chickens have just laid. You can purchase cheese, jams and jellies meats and much more. The staff is friendly and helpful in answering questions. Kids just love the place. You will too!

Our family has been picking strawberries here for years, although sometimes I will make a quick stop myself for some fresh berries. It's located in the beautiful Black Hammock, so the trip out is an experience in and of itself. Nothing fancy here, just big, juicy berries priced just right, and ready for eating. This year I made a delicious strawberry cake with my haul!

I visit here several times a month to grab fresh fruit and vegetables. Their U-pick strawberries are incredible! The family is super sweet too.

Interactive and personalized alpaca farm tours specializing in friendly/approchable alpacas and alpaca education. You will be taken around the farm to learn, interact and hand feed the alpacas and llamas. All ages, families, and event planing are welcome. Admission is $15 for 12yrs and older, $10 for 3-11, under 3yrs is free. Reservations are required to schedule a tour.
We took our two kids to LunaSea today while taking a break from the theme parks. While one of our girls quickly engaged with animals the other was more reticent. The owners of this farm quickly engaged with our kids and turned the experience into one they will remember for many years to come. While on the farm, kids learned about the history of Alpacas coming to the US, genetics of breeding, how to endgame and feed animals while personally engaging with an array of animals spanning all ages.
