Went here on August 27th 2018 , to take digital photos of what makes this a treasure of a Museum .. Especially to look at & admire the country store was my main focus for visiting. It's free to the public & parking is close by.

This is a gem of a building. The brewery compliments the building as you walk in past the rushing water wheel. Very friendly owner. Outside seating is the perfect place to relax. This is a must see and must sample a cold brew at when in Cedarburg.

Was there with my wife this week. We enjoyed some great tasting gin with premium tonic while admiring the beautifully decorated and immaculately clean establishment. The staff was very courteous, attentive and educational without being pushy. Took a bottle of their unique tasting gin home to enjoy in the future. Looking forward to returining.

Located in the old Hilgen & Schroeder Mill Store at the corner of Portland and Columbia Roads, the Museum offers unique spaces such as the General Store exhibit featuring the collection of Roger C. Christensen and other galleries that rotate exhibits. It also has a Visitor Center to offer guidance on attractions in the area. The Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce is located on the 2nd floor.
The museum is a great way to learn about the early settlers of the area and how Cedarburg has come to be. Wonderful location and great interactive exhibits.

Cedar Creek was founded in 1845 by Irish and German immigrants.
You must visit the winery - free tastings! There is a great antique shop, a crepe restaurant, and some great clothing stores. My favorite is Robin's European Cottage. I always find great jewelry there.

This was my second time visiting- stopped in to see the japanese exhibit and am so glad I took the time to stop. Wonderful exhibit in the barn, displayed with good lighting and ease of viewing. I enjoyed seeing the wide variety of interpretation for quilt making and found the staff friendly and willing to answer questions. The room is large enough to allow folks to move easily around the exhibit without feeling crowded or intrusive. I wish I could have seen the back of some of the quilts to understand the technique but they are hung so that is nearly impossible- argh. Overall an interesting exhibit and a lovely museum.
