The must experience ???????? Bojo River Tour ~ is also known as the Aloguinsan River Eco-Cultural Tour The memorisable Bojo River ... is scenically located just south of the township of Aloguinsan , on the lower western coast of Cebu ???????? Bojo is Spanish ... meaning - Coastal Trading Without organised tour ... another way ( as I did ) to find your way to Bojo River Aloguinsan , from Cebu City • firstly can catch a V Hire Van , from Junquera St’s V Hire Terminal ( near Colon St ) to Toledo ( west coast Cebu ) - usually P110 each way ... these V Hire’s leave the Terminal when full • then catch Jeepney from Toledo ( I walked to main north / southern road to find Jeepney ) to Aloguinsan - P35 ( I know I paid extra than regular price ) • from Aloguinsan markets to Bojo River - you need to catch a Habal-Habal motorcycle ???? P50 # With the V Hire Vans ... I again ( as I’ve traveled to Toledo before ) paid for 2 seats each way - P220 ... this was because of my bigger size ???? this allows extra sitting room ... also if you have larger size backpack ????you are required to pay for extra seat for luggage Aloguinsan River Eco-Cultural Tour - Bojo River • ₱20 / person ... entrance fee to Bojo River for just sightseeing • ₱400 / person ... walk-in for river tour * River tour * Swimming • ₱750 / person ... for advance booking w/ 5 or more sightseers * Welcome Lei * Welcome drinks * Lunch ( Bojo River ) * Snack ( Farm House ) * Handicraft Demo * River Cruise * Swimming Local traditional singers welcome groups Swimming , if you like , is around 25 mins near the head of the river The indispensable Bojo River & it’s environment ... is managed by the Bojo Aloguinsan Ecotourism Association (BAETAS) This is a great environmental initiative ... with looking after the river eco system ???? by virtue of the 26 different varieties of mangroves & the fish habitat As the local fishermen , conduct the informative river tour , in small Filipino paddling canoes ( local fishing boats ) ... giving them more income This allows less fishing in the Aloguinsan fishery protection area The locals also keep the river cleaner & plant new mangroves , if needed whilst using the river as a safe port for the local fishing canoes Bojo River is 1.4kms long & is fed by over 20 springs & is also tidal - therefore it’s recommended ... check tides before going to Bojo River ... as the river tours can’t be done during full low tide Disappointedly - there was a wooden boardwalk that once led up uphill to a birdwatcher viewing platform , that gave panoramic views of river & surrounding area ... however this boardwalk has fallen into major disrepair & is now closed for safety reasons All together ???????? just the peacefulness of the river is worth the hassles of traveling to & from Cebu City

If you are into Nature, and bird watching this is a good place for you. We just went there for a day and went back to Mactan Island in the afternoon so i'm not sure where you can stay at night. You can only reach Olango Isand by boats. I only know 2 main ports, Beside Movenpick Hotel and Marigondon Beach Port. I'm not updated with the fare but it's cheap. You will also be surprised how they transport motorbikes through boats. And sometimes, because there are only few boats operates, you have to wait for the boat to be fully loaded before it goes and that is the least of your worry,if you are timid, you have to do heaps of prayers while cruising , the boat is fully loaded that you would feel it will sink in any moment. But, i traveled a year ago, im not so sure about the progress they are making. This is just about my experience. So i suggest you go and find another source :D

What a great place to relax, enjoy the cool water on a hot day. Spent the afternoon here, wasnt crowded, meet some nice people. We will go back next journey to Tuburan.

i really enjoyed my walk around this mangrove garden. the bamboo bridges were sturdily done and despite the inevitable creaking sounds your every step makes, this won't hamper your confidence in finishing the whole tour. the view of the ocean was just spectacular as you reach the posterior portion. the sky and the sun were in perfect harmony to compliment the blue-ness of the sea. breath-taking indeed. if you love communing with nature, this is the place. i can imagine how this would appear at night when fireflies abound and lit the place like stars falling from above. oh, wow... the 50 pesos entrance fee is underrated. whoever thought of coming up with this place, s/he is brilliant. deserves all the accolades.
