Are you looking for something fun to do? Take a pottery lesson at Kingston Ceramics Studio! In a 1 hour lesson you will watch a demo, and throw two pots on the wheel with guidance. You will choose one glaze and the pot will be fired and ready for pick up within a month. Firing for one of the two pots is included, student's choice. Shipping is extra. No pacemakers at the wheel, please.
I cannot say enough good things about this place! We did a couples class and it was truly a blast. I was surprised how quickly I was able to throw my own pot! It was such a great class and Lex and Ben were such patient teachers. Hands down will return next time I’m in Kingston. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to have fun and get crafty.

Peace Village is an oasis tucked in the natural peaceful space of the Catskill Mountains. I attended the Leading From the Heart Retreat and spent a glorious spiritual reflective weekend reinforcing my beliefs, soaking in new inspirations and revising some perspectives. The property and all the buildings and accommodations are so very, very clean and so well maintained. You share a room for your stay tho there is so much activity you are rarely in your room but to sleep. There is no set fee: it is by donation. What you can afford. Those who have more or want to pay it forward can give more. You also have opportunities to volunteer in small ways to help provide added value in return. Its minimalist and simple in nature which reflects a calm and uncluttered space we've come to create in our lives. The food is vegetarian, the staff are volunteers, the information and care is authentic, genuine and very insightful.....simple means to help us learn and feel safe to empower ourselves. "When we are hungry...we eat. When we are tire...we sleep/rest." When we are struggling, we should naturally respond with nurturing/nourishing wellness/self care action. Affordable. Inspirational. Healing. Start your wellness with a stay at Peace Village.
