I was engaged in the late 59's to the Love of My Life. I had not been there in a long time as I live on the West Coast. I visited in November 2018. I wanted to place flowers on the Grave. What a peaceful place for one to rest. It was a peaceful place to visit and complete a task I had wanted to do for a long time.

I visited this event for the first time this year. I will go back every year and tell everyone I know. The staff were all in colonial dress and stayed in character. On site was a Cooper making wooden barrels, a Black Smith making iron implements, a baker cooking in a clay wood-coal oven, musicians playing period instruments, a fife and drum corp, Native American dancing and story telling, period crafts for children, the sale of clothing and implements one might have seen in a colonial home. Excellent job. Like a miniature Williamsburg, VA. A concessions stand sold hotdogs, grilled items and beverages.

This is a relatively short walk (3.2 miles round trip) along the former #9 Trolley Line linking Ellicott City with Catonsville, Maryland. From Ellicott City to Catonsville, it is a gradual uphill climb. From Catonsville back to Ellicott City it is all downhill. Most of the route is covered by trees so it is an easy walk even during a hot sunny day. I suggest possibly bringing a picnic as there are several benches along the route where you can stop and enjoy a meal. This is a fun outing after visiting downtown Ellicott City or Catonsville, which also has a nice downtown area with lots of restaurants.

The experience at the Event Center was very good. Our seats were great and not too expensive for where we were sitting. I was impressed with how clean it is, easy to navigate, and parking was pretty good too. There seems to be lots of parking, but if it's a big event, get there at least an hour or more earlier.
The only record store you'll need. Wall-to-wall with LPs spanning all music genres. We buy LPs, so bring those by. We also carry music accessories like turntables. Just want to talk shop? Stop by and let's swap stories.
