The Episcopal Museum of Vic (MEV), founded in 1891, houses a magnificent collection of medieval art with paintings and sculpture from the Catalan Romanesque and Gothic periods. The collections of precious metals, textiles, wrought ironwork, glass and ceramics offer a comprehensive journey through the history of liturgical and decorative art in Catalonia. This highly prized collection, including over 29,000 pieces, is exhibited in a new building on a site adjoining the cathedral, equipped with state-of-the-art exhibition facilities. Due to the exceptional interest of the museum's collections, in 2001 the museum was declared a museum of national interest by the Government of Catalonia.
This museum was probably the best thing we saw on our entire three week trip. First we viewed an excellent collection of early ivories and then the section with all the medieval art. It is in such good condition! There are painted panels, sculptures, and even a wooden deposition group! We used the audio tour but the further you get away from the main desk the more difficult it is to get reception. The person staffing the front desk was very helpful and added to our excellent opinion of the museum.

Magic mon del tren is a venue dedicated to the hobby of collecting and model-making. This new facility in our country attempts to introduce the unknown miniature train world to the general public of any age. Josep Arumi Bou has been a Marklin train collector since 1984. During all this time he has been making up an important collection of locomotives and passenger and freight cars in gauge HO (1:87) together with other gauge 1 elements. On the ground floor of his house he had several glass cabinets containing a part of this collection and two gauge HO layouts. The oldest one, built in 1991 using M railway tracks, recreated the stream railway world. The other one, more recently built using K and C railway tracks, recreated the modern electric traction railway. His dearest wish to expand his collection and to go on working with railway models and layouts, together with his aim to show it to both model train enthusiasts and to the general public, led him to design and build a big railway center: Magic mon del tren (The magical world of trains). It hosts his private collection and two big layouts: a gauge HO operating layout and a gauge 1 layout under construction. This exhibition (museum) is placed in a modern three-story building of 1000 m2 . It meets all the safety and access standards and it is well-equipped with the latest technologies.

Visit the unique secrets and beauty of the montain of Montserrat and enjoy a gastronomical and oenological day, A break in nature while you enjoy your holiday. Wine Tasting in Oller del Mas, a X Century (964 A.D) castle surrounded by gorgeous fields with jaw dropping views. A very intense experience in nature and the feeling of the past.
Oller del Mas is a winery located in the surroundings of Manresa, included in Pla de Bages wine region, it is in Central Catalonia. You can visit (in a guided visit) this winery, which is in a castle built in 10th Century and it always belong to the same family. In fact, in the visit you can learn a lot about the history of the place and the region and how they do wine in the place. Also you can see wonderful views of the surroundings and Montserrat, especially from the tower. Also, you can go to the vineyards and you can enter to the main building, where you will see some especial rooms of the castle, a room to taste wines, the shop and barrel room. At the end of the guided visit, you can taste teo different wines: a white one and a red one. The last wine, it is not possible to buy in the shops, because it is an experimental wine, so it is very recommendable to taste it. The staff was very friendly. In fact, you can see that she enjoy a lot with his job and the full complex. Wonderful!

El Aeri de Montserrat es mucho más que un teleférico. Es una experiencia única para descubrir Montserrat desde el cielo, disfrutando de una excelente panorámica de la montaña mágica.
If you haven't got the height phobia, then I wouldn't be able to think of a better way to go up to Montserrat rather than to travel by the Aeri cable car. The cable ride only takes 5 minutes to climb up and down the mountain. The slope isn't too deep as the incline's angel is 45%. Despite there is only 1 seat inside, it's totally worth it as it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the serrated mountains in Montserrat, which something you won't be able to see if you take the Cremallera funicular! Each cable car could hold a maximum of 35 people but most of the time it would leave in every 15 minutes anyway. A return ticket cost €11.50 for an adult and €6.00 for a children, it runs between 09:40 - 17:15 or 19:00 daily, depending on the time of the season and the weather. Finally, Aeri Montserrat is safe as I searched online and couldn't find that it has any accident since it first opened in 1930. I really enjoyed the rides, so I hope you will too! Highly recommended!

The Salt Mountain is a unique natural phenomenon in the world and is still growing while being eroded by the rain. Its 120 meters are just the tip of an enormous diapir nearly two kilometres deep. Lasting an hour, you will go down to a depth of 86 meters and enjoy the spectacle of shapes and textured features of the salt massif. The Salt Mountain Cultural Park also offers the visitor the option to walk through the old mining facilities. Beneath the imposing feature of the winding tower of the old mine shaft Maria Teresa lies the museum area: an open-air area that explains the history of the explotation of salt, the geology, the minerology and botany of this Area of Natural Interest, the Salt Valley of Cardona. The visitor can also see the shaft's mining machinery, which is a very good example of industry archaeology dessigned by Alsthom (currently Alstom) during the 1920s. A photographic exhibition can be seen in the basement. The old carpenter's workshop and the room where all the machinery used to be repaired house the Salt Handicraft Centre, Art-Sal and the exhibition Memory of the women from the mining neighborhood. We can also find there "La Cafeteria" with outdoor seating. At the reception, you can find "La Botigueta", a little shop with a wide selection of products and bibliography about Cardona.
