Pleasant lake is a less-traveled lake in the Lakes Region, but a beautiful, clean and quiet lake. We very much enjoy swimming in this lake; it's our favorite. Such a nice lake.

I was wanting to find a place with a great view near, Naples, Maine. After spending some time on the water, I asked a local for a great spot for views and quiet. They said, hands down, that Hacker's Hill Preserve was the spot I would be looking for. It wasnt but about 15 minutes or so from Naples to the park. I would have driven further, as once I got there and parked, I could see why this is the spot to look out and see Mt. Washington and views exist in all directions. I got out of the car, popped an altoid, and took in the breathtaking views from this spot in Maine. Snapped some pictures and just soaked up the whole experience. Next time you are anywhere in this part of Maine, take the time to visit this spot.

For as long as I can remember, we’ve gone to Maine to go to the ocean. I decided this year, I wanted to go to a Maine lake. I am glad we did! A beautiful clean lake, long sand beach, and plenty of space to sit and relax. Lots of shady spot and picnic tables. Clean bathrooms and a snack bar. It does get deep quickly and the swimming area is roped off. I do hope to get there again so I can spend more than a couple of hours there. Be sure to stop at Top of the Hill Grill for breakfast or lunch before you go.

One of Maine's finest golf courses accommodates all levels of play.
Point Sebago has a lot of amenities and is a fun place for families to vacation. They have a problem with communication between their employees. No one knows anything you might ask them about what is going on, in the resort on any given day. They should have morning meetings with all employees and talk about what is going on where, and give them a list of activities going on that day. They need more help in the kitchen. Food last year took way too long to get.

We offer specialty trail rides year round by reservation. Three are offered all year, seasonally we have ice cream rides in the summer in Casco, sunset rides in the fall in Casco and beach rides in the winter on Popham or OOB. We offer carriage tours in Freeport and Old Orchard seasonally as well. Riding with your own horse here at the farm is a great option too, on 5,000 acres of Jugtown Forest land.
Had a groupon for the winter ride and wasn’t able to use it until spring due to many icy days causing unsafe riding conditions. I was really impressed that the owner allowed for the “winter” rides to be extended for people who couldn’t get in during the winter. We were on a ride for beginners so we didn’t do more than walk. I have ridden for a very long time and my husband has ridden very very little and we both had a very nice time. Our guide, Dominique, was extremely friendly and patient with everyone in the group. I was impressed with both the condition and temperament of all of the horses on the ride. It is obvious that they are well cared for and well suited for totting around riders with little to no skill. I would highly recommend this beginner ride to people just starting out, but also to those with more experience who are fine with a nice leisurely hack through the fields and forests of Maine. Do remember to bring cash along to tip the guide. We accidentally spent all ours on lunch and wished we could have been able to tip appropriately for a job well done.
