In the early 1900s, mining engineer C.J. Kingston left his home in Michigan looking for gold in Chile. Generations later, his descendants are showing the same pioneering spirit in exploring new frontiers in Chilean winemaking. Growing red wine grapes in a valley known for whites, Kingston Family Vineyards has been hailed as Winery of the Year by Wine & Spirits Magazine.
We had a wine and food pairing lunch scheduled. It was delicious! Wines paired perfectly with the food. We also joined the wine club. Fabulous location for an afternoon of wine tasting,

Visit is coordinated prior booking arrangement. No walk-in visits capabilities. A small winery located in the most remote sector of Casablanca Valley. Surrounded by hills in a charming landscape. An internationally awarded Sauvignon Blanc producer.
This is an off the beaten path gem in Casablanca. We did a tasting and our hostess was great (sorry, cannot remember her name). Quality wines in a great setting. Don't miss it!

Established in 1989 by Thierry Villard as Chile’s first family premium boutique wine company. Over the last three decades, it has consistently been recognized as one of the best producers of the Casablanca Valley. Over the last decade, using the Valley’s exceptional terroir and unique characteristics, the new generation has introduced innovating winemaking techniques to create new super premium wines of structure and elegance.
Visited on a "uncorked" wine tour, was very enjoyable, amazing wines and scenery friendly staff and facilities

We are a Brazilian couple, who left our home country to build a dream in Casablanca. Our hands are in every part of the process from vineyard to bottling. Sustainable focused and eco-minded, we built the winery based on recycled shipping containers and the irrigation system is powered by solar energy. We craft cool climate, coastal, world-class wines, on a human scale. Our wines are always ranked among the best in the country. The AM Malbec was recently awarded as The Best Malbec in Chile for the second time. Franc is the real boss and often joins the visitors, but you should never pet him. This is a privilege reserved only for us :-) IMPORTANT: We do not have "open doors" and have visitors by appointment only.
Took the tour on the recommendation of our hotelier. This lovely Brazillian couple moved to Chile in 2011 to pursue their dream of becoming winemakers. This is a true "mom and pop" operations which puts out about 12K bottles annually, themselves. The wife (Angela) speaks perfect English. Because her husband (Marcus) always wanted to make red wine, these are the couple's signature wines in a valley known for its white wines. Angela revels in their beginnings when most locals told her and Marcus that they were fools to grow red grapes in the Valley. But it turns out their wines are some of the most renowned in the country (get her to tell you the story when Costco came a knocking). Prices are a little high, but Angela says they're worth it. Definitely recommend.

Casona Veramonte is a meeting place, where we create unique and unforgettable experiences around the good things in life: family, food, friends and the finest wines.
Our tour stopped here for a couple of hours to taste some of their different wines. Both white and reds were offered. We looked at where wine is made in at the facility and strolled through the vineyard where some of the small grapes were starting to blossom.

Relax on a tour through the wineries and enjoy great restaurants in Chile's wine-growing region.
The Casablanca Valley is full of Chilean vineyards. Some large some small. Get a driver and go to 3-4 and enjoy the great wines, for us the whites.

My partner and I got a bus (CLP280) from the centre of Valpo to the bus station. From there we caught a bus to the centre plaza in Casablanca, operated by Tur bus, for CLP1000. The bus we got left at 12:55pm. We then got a taxi to Emiliana Vineyard for CLP6000. The taxis charge CLP400 per rural km, so for a ballpark figure of how much your taxi would cost check the kms between the centre plaza and the winery you wish to visit. There is a taxi stand at the plaza, so it's easy to find a ride! We arrived at Emiliana Vineyard at 2:20pm, and without a reservation managed to get on the 2:30pm tour. This lasted around an hour and 10 minutes and cost CLP16000, with tastings of four wines at the end (2 whites and 2 reds, all yum!). The tour price seemed a bit steep to us but hey, YOLO. After we finished the tour we bought a bottle of the wine we liked (CLP6990, though cheaper are available) and went to eat our packed lunch under the trees. Emiliana has beautiful grounds, so even if you don't want to do a tour I'd recommend buying a bottle of wine and enjoying the sunshine here! Once the place had closed and we were the last ones left, we asked the lovely people at the winery (who speak fantastic English) to call us a taxi, and this taxi back cost CLP5000. We then waited at the centre plaza for around 5 minutes for a bus going to Valpo, which cost us CLP1000 each. All in all a really nice outing for less than the price of an organised tour! Easy peasy!

Viñamar is in the Casablanca Valley in Chile. It is a beautiful vineyard with 2 kinds of grapes, chardonnay and pinot noir. They make excellent sparkling wines. We took the tour and a wine tasting of 3 sparkling wines, extra brut, brut unique and rosé. All were great. Then we went to their bistro which I will review later.

What a way to end our 3 week adventure through Argentina, Chile, and Easter Island. Easily the best winery we have been to. The staff so attentive and the wines delicious. Really recommend the full package. Extra wine glass, picnic, make your own wine, and dinner. Best meal of our trip. The chef was amazing. Will be coming back for our 10 te anniversary. Sebastian was not only super informative but really nice. Highly recommend the GE wine and also the Conyan in addition to making your own wine.

Casas del Bosque winery outside of Valparaisa, Chile, located about 1 hour west of Santiago, is a beautiful setting with delicious wine. We started with a 3 course lunch in the Tanino restaurant, served with 2 of the grand reserva wines. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was very attentive as well. After this incredible lunch, we took a tour of the winery and did a tasting of another 6 wines. I highly recommend this scenic winery, and be sure to eat in their restaurant while there. Top notch!
