Hassan II Mosque

This stately mosque, a fine example of pure Moroccan architecture, is the only one in the city that non-Muslims may visit.

Although the ticket is a bit expensive and you must follow the visit schedule tightly, it is worth visiting as the indoor design is beautiful and attractive and the guided tour provides useful information. If you don't want to pay the entrance fee, you can also take nice pictures in the square, which is also impressive.

While there aren’t many traditional museums in the city, this one was lovely. The collection of travel posters takes you back in time. The other art and artifacts were also very good. Adorable and relaxing cafe on the terrace, too.

Casa Tramway

Reviewed By HINAWASEEM - Islamabad, Pakistan

This is a European style tram. It is built at ground level. You can buy single, day pass or weekly tickets at the stations or kiosks. The single ticket is 8 Dhs per person. The routes are very scenic and most connect the business districts and important sectors of the city. There is no connection for the airport but the tram connects to the Casa Voyageurs station. There is a set time schedule of the tram which is followed perfectly.

One can make almost whole round of the city walls, accept of few parts. Corner towers are equipped with old bronze Portuguese canons. Entrance is from 2 places, in the beginning of the main street and from inside the city further up the main street. Gates are closed before sunset. First entrance is just behind the main gate to the city. Old city is very small, and you can easily spend here half day and move to north to Casablanca of south – Safi, Essaouira. There is a fantastic view of the old city with all its landmarks from the port pier, nice walk specially before sunset, very recommended.
