North of Carson 15 miles, more or less, than an hour hike in to a great water fall!
i imagine it is fantastic in May, with active snowmelt. be sure to not overshoot the turnoff to the falls it's not very well marked and navigation systems can be unreliable in this area. Once you turn off Meadow Creek to NF 3062, it's about 2 miles of gravel road to the parking area, and a two mile rugged hike (mostly uphill) to the falls, so you should be in decent shape before starting. bring water, and travel with a partner.

We started visiting breweries in June, partly boredom (covid 19!) and partly because they keep popping up and we had no idea if they were good! We’ve visited 6 so far (we’re super dedicated) and this is our favorite. Third trip in September, and this time we even bought T-shirts! The food, beer and service are outstanding. The BBQ and smoked meats are so good, but please don’t miss the amazing salads! They’ll put that fabulous meat ON YOUR SALAD! 2 more to visit, but so far, this is the best!

I had never been here before, but always curious about it. We took a three day weekend to enjoy two nights and had a great relaxing time. Took advantage of being so close to a couple local hikes. The mineral pool is always very hot and was very relaxing. With Covid limitations, they only allowed a smaller number of people into the pool at a time, but we never had to wait. Made an appointment at the bathhouse, and were so glad that we did! Curtains were drawn around each tub so you had your own little oasis To relax in the tub for 30 minutes. The linen wrap after was so relaxing and would totally recommend it. So great it was free Duke hotel guests.

Carson Hot Springs is still on my mind from last winter. While visiting Portland, my good friend said, “Let’s go adventure.” We drove through the wintery countryside, enjoying the natural splendor, and stopped at Carson Hot Springs for a soak in the ladies room. The vibe is akin to taking a spa day in the rustic old Wild West. There are 10 antique claw foot tubs with shower curtains for individual privacy and mineral water pumped in from the Wind River. It is deliciously warm, relaxing and a wonderful day trip adventure from Portland.

I have played this course a number of times and it is well worth the drive. It is rated as fairly easy and it is especially if you hit a straight ball. The views are wonderful which makes it a great few hours of golf.
