What to do and see in Capri, Campania: The Best Day Trips from

July 20, 2021 Sachiko Swiger

Capri is pure romance—dramatic views, the bluest ocean you’ve ever seen, even the scent of lemon blossoms in the air. The luminescent Blue Grotto, striking Faraglioni Rocks and the Palazzo al Mare are popular with travelers, but for a real treat, snorkel at Marina Piccola beach. It’s said to be the spot where Odysseus nearly succumbed to the Sirens’ song… a fitting legend for this alluring island.

Back on board, we will sail to the island of '' Li galli '', an incredible crystal clear water hotspot, perfect for snorkeling and swimming. And then again at a time of Capri, we will coast the whole island, you will be able to admire its caves, the rocks of the Faraglioni, stop in a cove to swim, catch some sun. You will have time to go ashore and stroll through the shopping streets of Capri. With the sun behind us and the wind in our hair we will return to Sorrento. It will be an unforgettable day, get ready.

Had a perfect day out down the coast from Sorrento to Amalfi and back stopping off at various points and in Positano. Forget the group boat trips it’s not much more and miles better to get a private tour. Francisco has a boat big enough for 4-6 to travel in style and comfort. Plus a drinks fridge to match. He’s a top fella and made sure we had a great relaxing (and safe) time. We will be back for more!

Booking was easy and we received prompt replies to our queries. We missed our original flight due to a motorway closure for a serious RTA. We messaged Tony as soon as we knew we were not going to make it and although he had already set off to collect us he happily rearranged both our pick up and departure at no extra cost. He was waiting at the airport when we arrived. The journey was comfortable and interesting with all Tony's facts along the way. The same on the way back. Tony speaks perfect English so communication is easy. Overall very professional, clean and Covid aware. He also made us feel relaxed after a very bad start to the trip. Thank you Tony.

AMAZING!! Our tour through Capri and the different grottos was amazing! We were first picked up close to our AirBnB and taken to the port where we would board the boat. The You Know crew was very kind and friendly. We boarded the boat and took off to Capri with drinks. Along the way, our guide provided information, stories, background facts about Sorrento and Capri. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, the captain was also very friendly. They took us to different grottos, including the blue grotto. We were not able to go in because the tide was high. But visiting other grottos we were able to swim (the water was cold so only I swam). One amazing experience was swimming inside some of the grottos and being able to see the clear water and sea animals. We were dropped in Capri to explore at our leisure. They provided food and drinks throughout the trip. We then visited the iconic cathedral shape rock of Capri taking pictures and video. The crew made it very memorable and fun. We had a 11 month old baby with us and we felt very safe. Their COVID protocols also made us feel very safe and secure. We recommend this tour 100000%!

We originally planned to visit these two sites on our own but decided to go on a planned tour as you learn so much more than wandering around on your own with a map. And I've got to say Hugo ( his little joke was .. where Hugo you go ) was a absolutely spot on , his knowledge of Pompeii was amazing and his descriptions brought the place to life. He leads the group talking into a mic which is picked up on your headset so you don't need to be close to hear what is being said. I will review the 2 sites separately but suffice to say that the staff on the booking office were nice ( we booked next to the train station although they may have other offices in town) we met in the piazza tasso and off we went for a very memorable day so thank you very much Hugo ????????????????

Good trip around the Island of Capri. This is the sort of trip to take if you just want a lazy day of sailing with a little exploration of the Island. The boat was pretty small and there were only about 12 of us on it. The Captain, Tony, was very nice but didnt really say much about the 'Highlights' of the tour. The caves are a complete let down, there's not really much to see, and are really over-hyped. We moored in Marina Piccola and got a bus into the main town centre, where there is not that much to see, but we had a nice walk and explore. A good thing about it was they dropped us all off at our hotels at the end. I have been on quite a few boat trips on various holidays and usually they pick you up from hotel but dump you in the harbour at the end of the trip - so 5 stars to the company for that!!! Overall it was a nice day's boating if you just want to relax a little.

We booked the full day Amalfi-Positano tour and can highly recommend booking with buyourtour. Communication from beginning to end was great with the team always being available for questions. The guides were knowledgeable and fluent in numerous languages so that every passenger could ask as many questions about the Amalfi coast as they wanted. There were unlimited drinks and an actual good sandwich (different from the 2 slices of toast you usually get on tours line this). There is sufficient time to visit both Amalfi and Positano and the small groups also allow for flexibility on swimming stops. I also really appreciated the measures taken re COVID and felt safe throughout the trip. Definitely recommend spending the extra money and not going on a big ferry considering all reasons above!
