From flat-topped Table Mountain down to the blue waters of Table Bay, Cape Town is simply stunning, but the city doesn't thrive by its looks alone. Proudly multicultural, its flourishing arts, dining, and nightlife scenes are proof of this modern metropolis' creativity and innovative spirit.

Socially responsible tourist destination where visitors are introduced to the team that makes functional art out of recycled tea bags that are sent to us from far (all over the world) and near!! The tour is free, tea is available (new tea bags, we promise.)and we have a shop on site. Our heart warming story will make your day.
Wow! What a special place to visit and to buy unique souvenirs if you like. I was on a bus trip and needed to stretch my legs so I got off of my sightseeing bus near Imizamo Yethu township- when I got off the city bus a local escorted me to the Original T Bag Design showroom. When I arrived I was asked if I wanted to watch the video on the shop and it’s origins and I was also offered a cup of tea/ coffee. The video explained the project well and really left me with a good feeling about how these artisans were learning new skills and earning money to better their lives. I also met the founder Jill Heyes in store and she showed me around the studio, then to the workshop and answered all of my questions about the products, how people get involved and their projects, the designs and the skills learned. The work these artisans do is special sustainable- turning your everyday tea bag or tea labels into amazing art. The work you will see in store ranges in price, but there is something for everyone. I could have bought most things in the store. If you are on the City Sightseeing bus and need a break or want to seek Original T Bag Designs out- get off at stop 23.

I am extremely impressed by Uwe Koetter and their team. They not only manufactured a beautiful and exquisite product, but assisted to resolve an unforeseen problem with the earlier manufacturing more than a year after the initial manufacturing. The set of earrings they manufactured is exceptional and is exactly what Johan Louw had depicted in his design. Simonette van Oudtshoorn went above and beyond to resolve the unforeseen issue with the earrings and showed no hesitation to ensure that I was 100% happy with the final product. Over and above that, the team was kind, helpful and professional every step of the way. Their service, and importantly, their after-sales service is impeccable. I highly recommend this business. Thank you Uwe Koetter!

Est 1933 & still at the forefront of the Exclusive jewellery for over 84 years. Three generations have taken passion and precision to create masterpieces sought after by people around the world. The key to our success is a combination of knowledge and design innovation combined with passion and attention to detail. Ownership of a Jack Friedman piece truly owns a Treasure!
My husband and I were in Cape Town for a very spectacular wedding. We were staying near by the V&A waterfront and found ourselves walking by the Jack Friedman jewelry store multiple times eyes their collection of fine jewelry, particularly a leopard pave diamond ring. We had never seen anything like it - and had to go in to try it on. It was the most amazing piece we had ever seen....we had to have it. Sue greeted us with a warm welcome, told us the stories behind how the jewelry was designed and made and then of course, gave us the best deal she could offer. Sue gave us her card and we walked away to think about it. She called us the next day with the absolute best offer....and we ran straight back! I wore the ring that evening to the wedding and was stopped by everyone! It the most unique piece ever seen. So much so that my friend went back for a matching necklace and earings! Highly recommended.....go look at the amazing collections and see Sue!

I happened to be visiting the Cape Town area for work from North America. I conducted a little bit of research for the Cape Town area for sourcing a diamond for my to-be fiancee. Cape Town Diamonds was the first five star selection that I found within the immediate downtown area where I was staying. I was not disappointed at all. I visited several jeweler locations around the immediate area, and simply put Cape Diamonds carried a spectacular collection of high quality stones that were absolutely beautiful. Linda was extremely patient and helpful with me. She addressed all of my questions thoroughly and the diamonds she presented to me were stunning. I had reviewed their engagement ring designs before arriving in the country, and even though I had not identified a specific one that I felt would fit my fiancee (not yet knowing what metal selection she preferred), they were my sole source of design inspiration for the band I sourced back home for the ring. I truly recommend Cape Diamonds for their beautiful diamond selection as well as their engagement ring designs. Truly unique and a pleasurable experience. My fiancee absolutely LOVES her diamond and it is constantly complimented by all who see it. Cape Diamonds pricing was also extremely fair and affordable. My comparison to other sources, after a lot of research, showed me that they provided a me a higher quality stone for less than other competitors. I would recommend one thing in your search for a diamond or engagement ring, or even a wedding band... Start at Cape Diamonds.

I took a taxi to go this museum. The drive was spetacular as we kept seen the TABLE MOUNTAIN and the beautifull blue sea. Arriving at the museum, we could not figure out how a possible attractive museum could exist on top of a rather grey and so to speak absolutly discrete and hidden small facility. What a owe, as we got upstaris, and a completly new old world became straigth open to us. ( One feels like being in 20 century France or somewhere else in Europe. The rooms are absolutly gorgeous, elegant and refined. The entire experience is unforgetabble. A great detailed lecture on the history of perfumary, the very cozy attention given, including nice cakes and Spumanti, coffee, etc, plenty, makes one feels being treated like a king. The choosing of fine different and exquisite oils, the possibility of combining them , plus the guidance received to make my own perfume, to have my chosen oil, and a cream parfumeé, all together, makes a visit to the Museam, a unforgtable experience. In part because, it is something totallly unexpected and unusual, if we think about such place in Africa. As a perfume lover, I can affirm straight that, to pass to Capetown, and miss such moment, for perfume fans, is a unforgibale mistake. I really recomend a visit to this marvelous little museum, and among all the attractions in CAPE AREA, this one will bring a lovely, delighfull experience. One´s feels like finding a hidden gem in a desert, What a educational pleasant, unique, special time.
