This motorcycle tour will immerse you in some of the most breathtaking scenery in South Africa. We will ride some stunning coastal roads and beautiful mountain passes. This tour is also a ghost ride. We'll ride along paths trod by a captivating cast of heroes who shaped the life of Cape Town and South Africa. We'll track the beginning and end of Nelson Mandela's time in prison. We'll encounter the legend of the Watcher of the South and the creation of Table Mountain as told in Xhosa mythology. We'll discover how the mountains we ride in were used to measure the size of the Southern Hemisphere. We'll see how the water that flows from Table Mountain made it possible to build a trading station - and eventually a city here. We are confident this tour will give you lifelong memories of incredible motorcycling and a group of new friends: ghosts from the past as well as the Ride Down South crew.

Discover the beauty of the Paarl Nature Reserve with a light dual-sport motorbike. No previous off-road experience required, basic training is performed on our way to Paarl (however you need a valid motorbike >125ccm driving license). Lunch at the bottom of the Paarl Rock in a restaurant serving South African specialities (eg roosterkoek, etc)

Discover the charm of the old railway service road to Darling with a small dual-sport motorbike, starting from and returning to Bellville (Cape Town), during a full day guided tour. After a short warm-up ride (30') on country roads, you will meet the first gravel road, where some skill and safety exercises are planned. Leaving the gravel, you will then ride the trail along the old railway, with a short challenging escapade into the surrounding hills, all the way to the picturesque little town of Darling. On the way back, and although the railway road remains the guiding thread, several variations will allow you to experience some sand riding and navigate through the "fynbos" fields of the Rivelands reserve. This 180km tour is absolutely suitable for off-road beginners. The journey offers a unique and unforgettable way to get to Darling and back, and is at the same time a fantastic opportunity to discover the joy of riding in a challenging environment.

Travelling on a trike means that you are part of the environment in which you are riding. You get to see and smell all that nature offers unlike sitting in a stuffy bus with strangers which only offers you a partial view of the area that you are travelling through. This is a very scenic tour starting in Cape Town. We'll travel down the N1 up and over the Du Toits Kloof pass with a photo stop and a chance to admire the stunning scenery from the top of this mountain pass. From here it’s down to Rawsonville where we'll turn off to Slanghoek riding through the amazingly beautiful Slanghoek valley. From there it's to Wolseley and Ceres where we’ll stop for something to eat. The return trip will take us over the magnificent and historic Bains Kloof pass to the quaint town of Wellington for a drink stop. From here we’ll make our way back home via the historic town of Paarl and the N1 motorway where we will have to unfortunately say good bye to each other at your hotel or guesthouse.
