The Flower Tour was on my bucket list . My sister joined me on this adventure. We really had a wonderful time. Our guide Willem was really a star . Took special care of all of us. Very professional . Accommodation was and food was plentiful. Would recommend them any time. All three days of the tour was well organized.

From our surf exploration experience we have found several exceptionally beautiful untouched and secret beaches outside Cape Town. You'll do beachcombing and learn a bit about the seafaring history of the Cape of Good Hope, the exceptionally rich biodiversity of the region, as well as the life of the ancient Strandlopers, the original hunter-gatherer people who inhabited this coast. You'll see firsthand the archaeological remnants of their habitation. It's a nature, culture and local history experience rolled into one! Plus the opportunity to breathe in good dose of pure, fresh oceanic air.

I went on the two day trip, which included an overnight camping in the Cederberg Mountains. The rock art was extensive and beautiful, and the terrain, rock formations, caves and overhangs were equally stunning. Callan was great, and fun to travel with. He's an expert guide, generous in sharing his enthusiasm and extensive knowledge about the rock art, the geology, flora, and history of the area. Everything was provided, and Callan had thought of every detail, from providing walking sticks to bringing fruit for the drive, TP for the camp, and spices and napkins for our tasty roasted chicken and baked vegetables dinner (he was also a great cook), and flashlights for the tents which were equipped with very comfortable air mattresses. It was great having the two days. Highly recommend the whole experience.

I highly recommend Mitchell! We booked Western Tours for multiple trips in Cape Town - an airport transfer, Cape Town - Franschoek wine tram transfer and a full day Cape Tour. Each time he was reliable, an excellent driver and well educated and informative about Cape Town and surrounds. He was very adaptable when we arrived much later than our estimated pick up times (eg hike took us longer) - multiple times!
5. Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point and Peninsula
The Cape plays an important role in South African history as a stopping point for trading ships sailing between Europe & the European colonies in the east. Initially, Europeans bartered with the local Khoikhoi people for food & water but in 1652 the Dutch East India Company established a small provision station in the sheltered bay behind the Cape peninsula, forming the first European settlement in the region. Legend has it that the ghosts of the crew of The Flying Dutchman haunt the headland & its waters, though people are much more likely to see penguins.

What an amazing day - this is something you must do. But special praise for our guide who was just exceptional, personal service and an anxious day out. We saw the lot but the absolute highlight was so many shakes playing in full view, the jumping, this was a real experience, just do it!
