Cape Canaveral and the neighboring Kennedy Space Center have become synonymous with space travel in the U.S. The first phases of the U.S. space program were conducted at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, now a historic landmark and home to the Air Force Space and Missile Museum, before operations were moved to Kennedy. In addition to its Space Coast reputation, Canaveral also boasts the historic Cape Canaveral Lighthouse, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore.

This museum is located on the Cape Canaveral Air force Station. The location has plenty of parking in parking lots outside the main buildings and in the area. There are two main buildings and a park outside the buildings. One of the buildings was the original firing control room that has much of the original equipment, a tribute to women in the space program and, now, a gift shop. The 2nd building has static displays for the local area, Cape Canaveral, a V-2 rocket and a space capsule. You can walk around outside the buildings in the large open field that has several of the pieces of equipment used to move and launch the rockets. Many of the rockets have been removed from the park, repairs and restored and are now residing in Hangar C but there is still one rocket on a stand to the south of the park. This is an older museum but a must see for anyone that is a space program fan.

You’ll have an incredible experience at Jetty Park! We used to own a house in Ocean Woods walking distance to Jetty Park, 20 years ago and those days are unforgettable. Now we’re back to the area and Jetty Park is my favorite spot. You can go fishing there, you can watch the Kennedy Space Center Nasa lift off space shuttles and rockets, you can camp there, very secured and organized and clean, you can see the cruise ships going out to the ocean like a Godzilla in front of your eyes! There are incredible restaurants near by on the water, and inside the park, walks on the beach in a nice warm Florida sun, children are so happy there, as my daughter was, growing up. I highly recommend the Jetty Park to everyone!!! There are little creatures living there such as squirrels, etc and there are cars walking around too, they live there for years!!! Nice showers to use after you go to the beach, easy parking. My family and friends always had lots of fun there. Take one or few days and you’ll love it! Enjoy

This is a great place to go! With 5 adults and 3 children, we all had a great time! Todd told us a lot about all the animals there and was a fantastic host! It was fun feeding and holding some of the reptiles. The mining with the huge bags of sand and finding all kinds of gems and treasures was very exciting for the kids and adults! We thought it was a very reasonable price for all the smiles and laughter it brought feeding the gators. Very clean place and very well taken care of reptiles. We will definitely be back

A 7 story attraction full of exhibits and interactive displays.
A great little stop to spend a couple hours climbing the tower and learning about the area's wildlife and space exploration. Very inexpensive and funds go toward the wildlife preservation. Check it out if you get the chance!

Manatee Sanctuary Park boasts over 10 acres of riverfront beauty. Manatee Sanctuary Park is home to the annual Cape Canaveral Founder's Day Festival every March & Space Coast Dragon Boat Festival every April! This park is named Manatee Sanctuary because it borders a section of the Banana River that serves as a protected Manatee habitat. While we cannot guarantee that you will see a manatee during your visit, these beautiful creatures have been known to come and feed off the sea grass along the boardwalk. Manatees enjoy warm waters and typically move to inland springs during the winter months. They are considered an endangered species and fall under highly protective legislation. To learn more about these amazing animals, including where to see them year round, please visit the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission website.
Really nice park with a cool boardwalk overlooking the water. There are exercise stations and a large walking path around the park.
