More than 1'000 butterflies flying freely in a hughe tropical garden. Many more things like: Nocturama (nocturnal animals), Jungle Trek (a replica of the tropical forest in Belize), Wild Seeland (native biodiversity), Bug Bigtop (small animals), Petting zoo and many nature playgrounds.
Really interesting place to take the kids for a half day excursion. The ticket gets you entry into the Papiliorama - butterfly haven, the Nocturama where you can see lots of bats and other nocturnal animals, the Jungle Trek with exotic animals (mainly birds) as well as the outdoor petting zoo with donkeys, goats and pigs, an observatory deck and a nice playground. We arrived at 10am and stayed 2 hours which gave us enough time to do it all, working around the feedings (last pic). Admission ticket - 19chf per adult, 9.50chf from 4 to 15 years old, free for children under 3. Parking - 4chf which you pay at the entrance with your admission ticket. Most is easily accessible with a pram. There is a self-serve restaurant or you can bring a picnic.

We hiked from Moléson-sur-Gruyeres through Plan Francey, Gros Plane and up the Tremetta route to the summit on a warm early summer day. We passed the ubiquitous cows with bells, high meadows full of wildflowers, small patches of snow, and also some places to refill our bottles with the best water you will ever taste. It took us about 4 1/2 hours or so with plenty of stops for photos. As you near the top you’ll be rewarded with jaw dropping scenery. The restaurant terrace at the top is great for enjoying the views with a well-earned craft beer. Then you can ride the funicular and teams back down to where you started. Some folks also do the opposite, trams up and walking down, but I prefer to earn my views. :-) it’s a bit convoluted to get to using public transportation from Montreux— allow at least 90 minutes to 2 hours— so start early so you aren’t rushed. The bus and train up are also enjoyable.

What a wonderful walk we had down the Gorges. Just after visiting the chocolate factory this made for an active 3 hours as we walked the length of the gorge. In the summer it is cool and there are some stunning cliffs to imagine climbing ( you can even see the climbing bolts on some of the rock faces) At the end of the leg out you should climb up from the hydroelectric dam to Chez Boudji for the best macaroni in the region. This walk is the sort of walk you can enjoy in every season to see how the scenery changes. No 1 recommendation in the region.

It was visited during visiting Fribourg, it's a great place to see the nature, trees, snow, mountains, and lake. the lake was a bit frozen.
