We were in octomber here so it was not crowded. It is one of our favourites beaches in Madeira. You were there by car. The car must be left in the parking lot and then you need to go down on some stairs untill you reach the beach. It is a natural beach with black sand, not so big. It is good also for snorkeling. We saw some fish but not many. There is also a litlle bar at this beach. They serve also food. The problem was that if you wanted to use the toilet or the shower you needed to buy something drom the bar and ask for the key. But in my opinion you need to see this location!

The Whale Museum in Madeira is currently one of the most innovative museums of its kind in the world. Holder of a valuable museographic collection, this space rigorously documents the history of whaling in Madeira. Through stereoscopic 3D movies and among models of whales and dolphins in full size, visitors can learn about the life of these fantastic creatures and their marine environment in a fun and interactive way. The Whale Museum also promotes research on cetaceans and its preservation and study of the history of whaling in Madeira.
Awesome museum with audio guide included for just €10. Good info about history of whales. Nice place.
