Sunny Cancun has much more to offer than its party-town reputation might suggest. Plenty of gorgeous, drama-free family resorts cater to folks who want to experience the tropical Yucatan climate. There are significant Mayan ruins here, such as El Rey and the Yamil Lu’um, a crumbling tower of pale gray stone. Learn more about this ancient civilization at the Museo Maya de Cancun. For a literal taste of Mexico, take a tour of the Museo Sensorial del Tequila.

Welcome to Parque Maya Cancún the first natural theme park in the history of the Hotel Zone. We seek to pay tribute to the great Mayan culture by offering the visitor a tour that stages through great adventures, the main traditions of the Mayan world. This is how we introduce “culture through adventure”. A fun way to learn. And the best, without leaving the Hotel Zone.
This was a great, short excursion (10am-1:30pm or so) that I booked through my hotel. It included a short video presentation, zip lines over the water, mangrove tour on a speedboat looking at nature, a short Mayan experience and lunch (salbute, something new I haven’t tried). The day we went wasn’t too busy so it was almost a private tour the entire time. Fabián, Johnny, Juan and Captain Jesus were all attentive, friendly and made the experience more enjoyable. Recommended!

At Xoximilco the party is for everyone. Family, friends, couples or alone, the mood is set for everyone who wants to spend a great night. To accomplish this, we make sure that according to the sort of party you want to experience you will be accompanied by people who want to have the same kind of fun as you. It doesn’t matter if your party plan is casual, with couples or family, Xoximilco Cancun always has the right mood for you to enjoy it to the fullest.
My husband and I didn't really know what to expect when going into Xoximilco, but let me tell you it was the most fun we had in all of our trip! Paulino (our group host) and Fernando (our captain) were the best! They made everything fun for us that night. We saw boats next to us on our stops who were sitting in their seats and my husband and I were glad we weren't on those boats. Paulino encouraged all of us to have fun, get up and dance, sing, and take tequila shots. We also got very lucky with our group of people. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We all got acquainted because of Paulino's introduction game. We even hung out with some people on our boat at Hotel Xcaret. We were all grateful of Fernando because he worked hard to steer the gondola from point A to B to C etc. If you want to go have a good time, this is the place to go! Make sure you ask for Paulino and Fernando.

Challenge all your limits at Xavage, the only park in Cancun and Riviera Maya with the boldest activities through the air, in land and on water. Unleash the wild within and face the power of water, go through roads full of obstacles and conquer the heights. Live this adrenaline-filled challenge and follow your instincts.
Had the chance to visit Xavage during our visit to Xcaret Hotel. Like all Xcaret parks, you get free admission to all of the experiences by staying at the all inclusive Xcaret Hotel. They provide direct, luxury coach transportation to the park so that you arrive at park opening and leave at close. The xperiences were great as many other have attested. You really need to leave plenty of time for the ropes course (but you can stop whenever you want and just climb down one of the support poles). The river rafting was a lot of fun along with the ATV driving. Being there during low season meant the park was pretty much empty. We had no lines and able to do many of the xperiences multiple times. I would challenge anyone to find a better buffet dining experience at a theme park. Compared to any of the amusement parks we have visited in the US, the food here was amazing. Bring your towel, sunscreen, and water shoes and sturdy shoes for the climbing. The hammoks by the kids area to conclude the day were great!!!

Water park featuring slides, food and drinks included. Open everyday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wet'n Wild Cancun, is pure fun!!!
My daughter and I went to Wet'n Wild on November 22, 2019. We had made an excursion in a submarine that morning to see the MUSA statues and the undersea life, but I had not realized that the vessel was going to tip back and forth the whole time. Both of us got very seasick. After we got back to shore, she recovered quickly, and after about an hour I felt better, well enough to go to Wet'n Wild as we had planned. My daughter is nineteen and has autism. When we planned our trip to Mexico, going to Wet'n Wild was her number one preference, at the top of her list of places she wanted to go. We took a taxi, and by the time we got there, I was feeling almost back to normal. When we entered the park, we met the manager, Mr. Francisco Manzo, and he walked beside us and showed us where the restaurant was. Unfortunately, i have multiple sclerosis, and once I sat down I started to feel dizzy and nauseated again, when I had thought that the seasickness had ended. I thought I'd just rest for a few minutes and told my daughter to go to the buffet and serve herself what she wanted to eat. I wasn't hungry, but thought I'd feel well enough to keep going after resting in the shade of the restaurant for a while. But when I stood up, I not only couldn't walk straight, but my legs were uncontrollable and went out far to the side when I tried to walk. I had no idea what was going to happen, if the symptoms would clear or get worse. Once many years ago, my left arm and leg were paralyzed for a month in an attack, but that was the only time I have ever experienced paralysis and complete inability to walk even holding onto things for balance. I was dismayed, frightened, and didn't know what to do. We could have taken a taxi back to our hotel, but then my daughter would have been distraught at missing the experience she most wanted to do on our trip. I told a waitress that I felt very ill, dizzy and nauseated, and unable to walk. She asked if I wanted her to call a doctor, but I said there was nothing a doctor could do to help me. She notified Mr. Manzo, who came immediately and showed great concern. He called for a wheelchair and helped me into it. I told him I'd be glad to pay for whatever we needed, but he said that he would not accept any payment, being primarily worried about my health. He gave me bottled water, saying it was important not to become dehydrated in the heat. He asked for a couple of employees to come, and he asked them to take my daughter around the park, accompanying her on all the slides and other activities, while another pushed me in the wheelchair. I don't remember the name of the young woman who was with my daughter for a while, but the young man who spent the most time with her was Carlos Enrique Balán Paredes, who showed the most exceptional friendliness and kindness toward both of us. He took her to all of the attractions at the park, going down the slides with her, and going into the wave pool and down the lazy river with her. She was very happy and had more fun than she would have it if had only been with me (and I wouldn't have gone down the slides with her). And then, as the highlight of our afternoon, Mr. Manzo asked if we would like to go to the dolphin show, Dolphinaris. We had not paid for that, but Mr. Manzo said he thought we'd really enjoy it. So I was pushed in the wheelchair into a shady location, and my daughter was seated in the front row of a spectacular show with beautiful, well-cared for dolphins performing amazing feats! During the show, the announcer offered a "special greeting for their friend Cecilia" ! Afterwards my daughter was taken to the edge of the pool to pet one of the dolphin performers! We were there for a couple of hours, and by the end of that time, I was recovering the normal use of my legs, which was a tremendous relief, as I had been wondering if it were going to ruin our trip. I am more grateful than words can express at the compassion that those working at Wet'n Wild showed to us, their generous provision of all that we needed for a wonderful afternoon which we will never forget! I caught the flu on a plane going home and then was very busy with my home translation, but wanted to describe our experience here so that readers would realize that not only is this a fun park, very clean, colorful, attractive, and well-organized, but the people were all kind, friendly, and, as you can see, very compassionate. I don't think we would have been shown this profound consideration and kindness if this had occurred anywhere in the US. Muchísimas gracias por todo lo que hicieron por nosotras, y ¡un saludo especial al Señor Manzo y a Enrique Balán! ¡Nunca los olvidaremos!
