Erhard's professionalism was evident from first contact. He replied quickly and designed an itinerary that perfectly suited my interests. In 6 days we covered 1,000 miles and (owing to Erhard's excellent planning) had plenty of time at every destination: Chichen Itza, beautiful colonial cities, great local food, the jungle ruins at Calakmul, and much more, all expertly explained by Erhard. I cannot imagine a better traveling companion and feel that I now have a friend in Mexico. Very highly recommended!

I dealt with Pepe for the reservation piece and he was very professional. I traveled with a party of 7 family members. We decided to go with private tours to go at our own pace and have the flexibility of customizing. We took a private tour to Chichen Itza one day and a private tour to Coba and Tulum another day. Manuel was our guide and Jose was the driver and both a pleasure to have. Manuel was extremely knowledgeable.

I have traveled a lot of places and gone on a lot of tours, this was easily the best tour I've ever been on and I wish more people knew about it! I experienced and learned so much. Kayaking the Rio Hondo was absolutely magical - and being able to be so up close and personal with such beautiful ruins...it was simply unlike anything I've experienced in Mexico so far. Selene also gave great recommendations for me to spend a day in Chetumal (I was spending the week in Bacalar). It is 100% worth spending a day (or two or three) with Latitud Maya. You will not regret it!

Your guide will tell you the history of this great culture, from Mayan calendar still used today in the shape of a pyramid to the traditional ball game “Poc-Ta-Pok” that was held in the stadium. Start the day swimming in the cave cenote; this is a closed sinkhole inside a cave so you can cool off, afterwards you will enjoy a typical cuisine of the Yucatan region, then you will visit the Mayan Capital and to close the tour you will go to Valladolid, a colonial town from the 60s.
