The Boatshed kayaks is also involved in multisport training and hire and has been training grade 2 paddlers for over 8 years, with a huge number of paddlers experiencing their introduction to kayaking through The Boatshed.The ethos at the Boatshed has always been on getting people out there paddling, young and old, and therefore growing kayaking as a sport or recreational activity.

Our photo workshops are led by Phillip Bartlett, a New Zealand-born professional landscape photographer with almost 20 years experience. Phillip’s patient, down-to-earth style will inspire and equip you to push the boundaries with your photography to a new dynamic level. Every workshop is open to photographers of all skill levels, as well as non-photographers who regularly join their photographer partner or friend. The inclusive and fun atmosphere we enjoy together makes the journey as memorable as the photography we experience. The Over The Moon Deli, Victoria Street, Cambridge is the 2nd location for Over The Moon. It was opened in December 2016 and provides the full selection of Over The Moon cheeses as well as an extensive range of other fresh and dry products. Services include hampers and picnic packs to take away. Open 6 days per week it's a wonderful deli for treats and temptations.

The Sir Don Rowlands Centre is the Waipa District's newest event facility in Cambridge. Situated on the lakes edge with its stunning views of Mt Maungatautari and the lake, it's the ideal setting for any event. The Centre is a versatile, multipurpose complex. With flat floor setting, this venue is easily transformed from classroom to exhibition to dinner settings, and is an ideal HQ for large events. The Centre features rooms of varying sizes, including the Main Hall, Waipa Room, Karāpiro Room and Te Manawa o Matariki Room The outdoor deck provides the perfect viewing spot for any event happening on the water. The Centre's grandstand seats 700 people.
