Cambria /ˈkeɪmbriə/ is a seaside village in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles along California State Route 1 (Highway 1). The name Cambria, chosen in 1869, is the Latin name for Wales. Cambria is situated amidst Monterey pines in one of only three such native forests. Previously, the town had gone by the names of Slabtown, Rosaville, San Simeon and Santa Rosa. The corresponding census designated place (CDP) had a population of 6,032 at the 2010 census, slightly down from 6,232 at the 2000 census.

What a find! We've been going to Cambria for several years and I don't know how we missed this. BEAUTIFUL trails with whimsical benches. Can't wait to go back. You can meander along the cliff trail and return on the upper trail.....or save one for another day. We brought a little snack and watched the waves. Easy easy walk for any age.

Stepladder Creamery is a small farmstead goat dairy and creamery just north of Cambria. We create small batch, handmade cheeses with milk from our herd of LaMancha goats and artisan cow's milk cheeses using milk exclusively from the Cal Poly dairy program. Join us for a tour and cheese tasting on our private ranch - it's a lovely escape! You'll get to play with our loveable goats, learn about cheesemaking and taste our seasonal cheeses. You can join our Cheese Club for exclusive cheeses and benefits too! All visits must be booked online in advance. We are not open to the public without reservations and we do not allow dogs on the ranch (since our herd protector dogs can be threatening to other animals). Thanks for your understanding! You won't want to miss this experience.

Great ocean views from a nice level walking trail. Most of the trail is level ground but sections are level wooden walk. Placed throughout the trail are great benches made with driftwood pieces that provide great views of the coastline. We leisurely walked on the clearly marked trail and and enjoyed the views of the coast, surf and sealions playing in the surf.

Finally!!! I've always wanted to book this and it finally happened in July. Hell it's 2020 so it's time to get out and stay out! :) Horseback riding is just what my guests and I needed. Had a blast. What a great ride and experience. They did a great job from texting to book, (I booked about 5 days ahead of time.) Spoke with the owner Tara, and she booked us with another group. (had 3 in our party.) Scenic, horses were awesome, Tara and her associate (forgot her name) were professional and experienced. The ranch was GORGEOUS. The horses were healthy and amazing. Felt very safe. Brought a friend who only has ridden a few times, and my mom who is experienced but was a little nervous, (me too! They are big horses, even though I ride and show my own horses, these Clydesdales are TALL!) We got to lope and canter a lil if we wanted. Great to hear the history of Tara's business (she started it herself!) Highly recommend for a small or large group. For any age, any type of rider. It was a little dusty so I would bring a scarf if you come in the late summer, but totally worth a lil dust to be astride these amazing animals. Will def do it again!!!!
