Ta Prohm

Having undergone minimal restoration, stone pillars and carvings intertwine with massive tree roots and jungle in this stunning temple complex.

An amazing Temple and not too far from the city of Siem Reap. The location for the Lara Croft Tomb Raider movie, this temple is being reclaimed by nature and the sight of these magnificent trees enveloping the temple is awesome in the true meaning of the word. If you can only see one temple during your visit to Siem Reap this would definitely be my choice.

Contacted Mr Seng before our trip and he was most helpful via whatsapp. As he was on another job, his friend Mr Sokhy took us daily for the temple tours and into Siem Reap as our hotel was quite remote via tuk tuk. Very knowledgable and friendly service from Mr Sokhy, always on time and with an ice box for complimentary waters and chilled tissues which were much needed after visiting the temples in the heat! Would recommend and not hesitate to book again! Thank you!

Mr. Daniel wasn’t available himself for the day of our temple tour so he arranged for his brother, Mr. Kong, to drive us, and a guide, Mr. Tong to show us around the temples. Both were lovely and we had a very enjoyable day visiting Angkor Wat and three other temples. The day was planned by Mr. Daniel and all went very smoothly. It was very easy to arrange by WhatsApp. We wanted an air conditioned car rather than tuk tuk due it being a long day in the heat and this was arranged for us.

The Baha’i House of Worship

Reviewed By Bryn_Deamer - San Rafael, United States

Given that the Bahá'í Faith is only 176 years old, it is amazing to see this facility, the first ever Local House of Worship to be opened in the world, (in 2017), open to all in the spirit of "The earth is one country and mankind its citizens". My family became members of the Bahá'í Faith in 1962, before the first international governing body of the faith, the Universal House of Justice, was even elected. I had no idea that I would live to see the first Local Houses of Worship being built in a country ravaged by war, whose beautiful ancient temples were ravaged again and again, as the area changed hands and the country changed religions. Free of ornamentation, and open to all, it invites visitors to commune directly with their creator, whatever they conceive it to be, in an atmosphere of calm serenity, acceptance and modernity. Yes as a Bahá'í myself, living in California, I am biased, but the random visitors we met there appeared also to be impressed by the serenity and acceptance they felt there. In the spirit of the Bahá'í principle of the "Independent investigation of truth" I commend this new temple of the world's newest religion to the interested visitor.

Mr Viti and his assistant Mr Tom were both very friendly, approachable and fun! All arrangements for the itinerary was professionally handled by Mr. Viti via WhatsApp. There was always a cold bottle of water and a cool towel, very necessary on these hot Cambodian days!! They were also very informative and went to a couple of extra sites for me without complaint!! Highly recommended, and I hope to use them again next time I am in SIem Reap!!

As part of our cruise we were brought here to be blessed by a couple of Buddhist priests. This consisted of delightfully being pelted with jasmine flowers. Across the street it's possible to hike up 400+ steps to a temple and get an awesome view of the area.

Banteay Srei

Banteay Srei or Banteay Srey is a 10th-century Cambodian temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Located in the area of Angkor, it lies near the hill of Phnom Dei, 25 km north-east of the main group of temples that once belonged to the medieval capitals of Yasodharapura and Angkor Thom.

Reviewed By UNNIMAYA - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Known popularly as Ladies temple this red sandstone temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is widely praised as Jewel of Angkor Wat for its intricate carvings. Another piece of interesting information- this is the only major temple in Angkor not built by a monarch - the construction is credited to the courtiers named Vishnukumara and Yajnavaraha.

Koh Ker Temple

Koh Ker, three hours from Siem Reap, served as the capital of the Khmer empire from 928 to 944, and was built under King Jayavarman IV under whose reign colossal sculptures and lingas were constructed, leading to charges of megalomania. Some of the lingas remain, though the sculptures have been removed to the museum in Phnom Penh. The site, which has only recently been demined, is dominated by Prasat Thom, a 30 meter high pyramid temple. In view of the distance, there are far fewer crowds here, making a visit an easier and more pastoral experience.

Tired of visiting crowded temples? Koh Ker temple is located about 100 kilometers from Siem Reap, and if you go early in the morning with a private driver you can actually visit this temple (pyramid) alone, Something you seldom can experience these days! Absolutely worth the drive about 2-2,5 hours one way! If possible I would choose a english speaking driver!

Pre Rup

Reviewed By LuizDutraNeto - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

King Rajendravarman II built "Pre Rup" in the 10th century, as his state-temple, and dedicated it to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities of Hinduism - "the one who creates, protects and transforms the universe". This temple-mountain has beautifully carved false doors on its upper level, offering fantastic views of the "Angkor Archaeological Park". It is also believed that "Pre Rup" may have been used as a funerary temple, as its name - "Pre Rup" - recalls (in the Khmer language) some of the hinduism's rituals of cremation. It is best seen on early mornings or at sunsets and you can easily combine its visit with the nearby breathtaking temples of "Ta Prohm" and "Banteay Kdei", as well as of next door "Srah Srang", the large pool and terrace of the "Royal Baths" of the Khmer Court. Enjoy!

Preah Vihear Temple

Reviewed By ramtraveler608 - Mumbai, India

It took very long time to drive to this place from Siem Reap to Preah Vihear temple, It was a life time of experience with setting in pickup car drive up to the top of high mountain Dongrak more than 500 meters high and You have to pay the car fee which wasn't included with the tour price. That mountain top has 5 temples and all those were amazing to see. We looked to the Cambodia land and the Thai country too. It was also good for walking over there, for who like to walk. Highly recommend to visit this temple.
