Fantastically rustic experience riding though on Dual Purpose motorcycles. Would be difficult with a sedan car due to rutted road and high road clearance required on sections, especially the Gannaga Pass. Overall a fantastic experience with a great lodge at the pass summit for an overnight.

Fabulous museum, well worth a visit. Enjoyed all the exhibits, especially the steam train. Can recommend a visit to learn about the history of Calvinia.

Physically demanding, but a wonderful experience with a very nice group. I loved the down to earth attitudes an basic camping in a little tent. The food was very good, especially after walking 25+km. Highly recommended if you like the veld and basic facilities and if you are reasonably fit.
