What to do and see in Cali, Valle del Cauca Department: The Best Things to do Adventurous

July 7, 2021 Kelli Reichel

The site of the 2013 World Games, Cali is the sporting epicenter of Colombia. Pristine golf courses and countless opportunities for adventure sports in local parks, mountains and deserts are a big draw. Cultural attractions in Cali reflect the area’s rich indigenous history and European influence. Visit an archaeological park to experience tombs, ruins and cave paintings, or celebrate with the locals at a cultural festival. Show off your salsa in a lively nightclub, then spend the next morning recovering with an aromatic cup of that famous Colombian coffee.

But we're more than just a tourism agency, we provide you profesional guidance AND the most important thing: Everytime you travel with Viajes CHE, you contribute to bring opportunities to low-resources children who are making things well (good notes at school and good behaviour), we take those childs in the trip with us, so they can appreciate and value the beauty of the Colombian ecosystems. Cerro De Las Tres Cruces

Reviewed By davidhE2020KB - Philadelphia, United States

I have climbed Tres Cruces every Christmas week for the last 10 years. My 9 year old made the hike last Christmas. I agree with others - go early ( before 9:00) as it gets hot and the climb just gets more challenging as you go, and there isn't much shade. Great views the whole time. Love getting to the top and buying a fresh squeezed OJ. Everyone is awesome along the way and at the top, all smiles. I am usually the only gringo on the climb. As others have said, there are police on the climb so you should be safe. Never had a problem in 20 climbs. Takes about 2 hours round trip. If you are in Cali, you will most likely be hung over. Take some water and buy more on the trail. Best thing you can do to get ready for another great day during La Feria!!
