Externally this is a wonderfully imposing building reflecting the mudejar influences with its promises of untold delights inside; seriously beautiful building! I did take a gamble to see a concert which was a mixture of flamenco, jazz, singing, guitar and dance; it paid off it was brilliant. Internally the decoration doesn't match up to the splendour of the Wakefield or Leeds Grand Theatres and the air conditioning was a bit lacking, but the overall atmosphere was superb. Another example of how Cadiz can enter into your soul.

As we were walking around Cadiz we were on our way back to our parking spot down this small side street. We noticed this small bar "La Cava" featured Flamenco evenings. Went inside and immediately made reservations without doing any research. We were definitely NOT Disappointed. The show was fantastic. You could really see and feel the passion the dancers, singer, and guitarist revealed in their performance. Would rate higher if I could.

Museo dedicado al mundo del títere, gestionado por la Fundación Municipal de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Cádiz (España)
If you love puppets you'll love this museum. Unfortunately it's all in Spanish, but the quality and beauty of the puppets almost doesn't need any explanation. The museum is open all day and is free, so if you want a relaxing hour wandering amongst puppets in the cool this is the place for you.

I can only really agree with the previous reviewer. If you want to experience something of the real Cadiz, this is a must not miss. I loved every minute. We booked a table online a few days before the show. They ask you to arrive early, so we did, about an hour before the scheduled start time. I was glad we did. We were shown to our table, got some drinks from the bar and sat and enjoyed the build-up of watching people arrive & meet friends. There was a real `buzz`. The show started and what a show, superb performers who really threw themselves into their performance. I have seen flamenco before but not like this! it was raw, earthy, real. The audience, too were part of the show. Unlike other shows I have seen this audience were knowledgeable aficionados and they liked what they saw. I have read some say the food is substandard and yes I suppose it is not a fine dining experience but it was good simple tapas at very low prices If you get the chance, go!
