The "cachoeira's" Literary Fair, more known as "FLICA", is an event a cultural arts and literature exhibition that takes place in Cachoeira city, a beautiful historic place of " Recôncavo baiano" region. The way that you can to arrive in Cachoeira city is crossing the roads by car, bus, taxi, motocycle or any other ground transportation. It's event that brings together artists from a lot of regions of the country. The event is completely free, all historical sites are open for visitation. It usually happens over a four day period, where each day has numerous attractions scattered around the city. My experience in FLICA was fantastic. I visited places like the museum of photography and movie theather, where i had all the evolution of cameras and camcoders, even old film projectors. I also visited the Hansen Bahia Institute where local paintings artists were exhibited with a kind of art known as "Xilogravura". I also walked into the oldest public police station of "Bahia". In addition to the historical places i had the oppotyunity to know some cultural manifestations in the streets such as "chorinho"," tapes dance" and the i had too the first opportunity to talk with a writer, the urban poet Leo Resende. I recommend you pay attention to the weather, because the sun is very strong there. If the weather is sunny, bring sunscreen and drink a lot of water. If you prefer buy water there, you'll pay R$2,00 for one bottle. I loved the experience and I plan to return to next "FLICA".
