World Record at the World’s Largest Hill Before the Trial World Championships in 2011, a new, comprehensive development of Vikersundbakken was completed; the hill became a full-fledged K-195, and declared the world’s largest ski-flying hill. During the Trial World Championships, Johan Remen Evensen flew down to a fantastic new world record of 246.5 meters. In 2011, further development at the hill was done before the World Championships in February, 2012. The expectations for the World Championships in 2012 were sky high, and were met. With more than 60,000 spectators and a record high number of television viewers, this became the all-time high World Championships in Ski-Flying! In February 2015 Peter Prevc is writing history. He is the first human that have jumped 250 meters on ski. But the same weekend Anders Fannemel beet this record with 251,5 meter. What a weekend in Vikersund. We look forward to World Cup 12.-14. February in 2016.

Kjosterudjuvet is a 10.000 year old, spectacular, ravine only 10 minutes from Drammen centre. The ravine is 1300meters long and the stone walls are more than 60meters high. A more exiting excursion is hard to find!
Have good shoes when you walk here, would also recommend a bottle of water. You can either walk in the Kjøsterdjuvet og on the hill beside it, both of them lead you to the top where you will see gamledammen.

If you are in Drammen and have some time to spear, visit spiralen, you have many different paths up here, but i think the ZIC ZAK is the fastet. from the cemetery you can walk up in 19 min, or jog even faster. The wiew is good, and if you get hungry, there is a resturant at the top, but chem the opening hours before you plan to eat there. From spiralen there are a lot of different paths to continue your hiking/biking trip. And in the water some of these paths are prepped for skiing.

The view point Kongens Utsikt is 484 metres above the beautiful lakes of Tyrifjorden and Steinsfjorden, west of Kleivstua. Admire the fantastic vistas of large parts of Ringerike and Hole. King Karl Johan's visit in 1832 gave the view point its name: Kongens Utsikt means the King's view point. You can either start at Sundvolden and walk the 1,300 metres up to Kleivstua, or you can drive to Kleivstua. (Toll road, NOK 25) The path from Kleivstua to the view point is clearly signposted. The walk takes around 30 minutes each way. Have a good trip!
We climbed up the forest paths from the parking lot at Kleivstua, making the ascent to the Viewing Platform in about 15 minutes. It was a very hot day so we were glad of water bottles and a snack when we reached the top. On that July day when most were at the sea, we met people with lots of photography equipment, tourists, joggers and even a couple of families with small children. This is a trip for everyone - you can just adjust your pace. The views are simply amazing - the lakes beautiful and you can see as far as to Gaustatoppen - the highest mountain in southern Norway.

The main church in Bragernes dates from 1871. Bragernes Church was erected in neo-Gothic style and located in the heights towards the hill. Its well-known altarpiece with the Resurrection by Adolph Tidemand has been copied in many other churches within Norway. The beautiful carillon has 35 bells.

Great place with relaxed, nice atmosphere and a good selection of beer. Nice staff with good knowledge about their beer. There are two shuffle boards there also. Perfect place to go with friends for a beer and chat.
