What to do and see in Busan, South Korea: The Best Things to do for Honeymoon

September 28, 2021 Augustus Redeker

Busan is Korea's second largest city.  Tourists often come to this region to hike and to visit the Buddhist Temples located deep within the region's mountains. The Beomeosa Temple, founded in 678 AD, is perhaps one of the most frequented temples in the area and is always packed with worshipers and tourists. For art buffs, Busan offers several museums and historical buildings. If scenery is your thing, try visiting the Dongbaek Island, or bird watch at the Nakdong river estuary.

We took a bus from central Busan to the last stop at a place where we were approached by a man who asked us whether we wanted to take a boat trip around the park's coast. We agreed, and were driven to the port by a free-shuttle bus. From there, we took a boat ride around the southern tip of Busan. After the boat trip, we walked to the Park and explored it by foot and also took a train which runs around the park. Very interesting place to be, especially the views from the lighthouse.A lot of walking involved, so wear comfortable shoes!

We stayed on a hotel overlooking the beach and we loved the beach itself and the whole area. Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from and a wonderful beach to stroll along- plus the convenience of the compressed air pumps to clean the sand off your shoes afterwards.

Busan Gamcheon Culture Village

Reviewed By passionfruitsin

Was easy to get here on your own if you are on a cruise stopover. From Busan station, take a metro to Toseong station and get out at exit 6. Once out, walk straight then proceed to bus stop of Pusan NU hospital. Board bus 1-1, 2 or 2-2 and it will take you all the way to the entrance of Gamcheong Cultural Village. Be there early or you will soon have many people in your photos which you would not want to. The sights are interesting with many artworks decorating the routes along the whole village and the colorful houses make the whole scene perfect picture shots. There are also a number of eateries throughout the village. Be warn though. There are steep slopes and staircases and would not be so friendly for the elderly. This is something different from most order tourist sites. Worth a trip.
