I have been there multiple times. the butterfly gardens are gorgeous, and the gardens are immense. there's a stream on the property, but its not super pretty looking. but the pond is where is like to go, just to sit down and watch the ducks, it's so relaxing.

The National Capital Trolley Museum was a wonderful place to visit especially for a day trip. I took my mom and we loved all the wall displays and also the trolley house as well. The people there were very helpful and were also very knowledgable about the history of the trolleys, The great part is parking was free and the admission of $7 was very reasonable as well. That price included my favorite thing to do at the end of our day. That is riding on an actual trolley they restored around there 1 mile layout through the trees. The trolleys they let you ride in also change from time to time which is a nice touch. Greta fun for people and families of all ages.
Tips for fun at the National Capital Trolley Museum:
1)Be sure to check hours on their website before going as they are somewhat limited.
2)Touring the trolley house requires a guide to be with you. You can't just walk in there.
3)Eat something to eat before you go.
4)Be careful getting on and off the trolley rides.

This was only my second visit to the Olney Theatre even though I've lived in the area since 1975. What was I thinking?! I'll tell you what I was thinking: that it was just a suburban dinner theater place. WRONG: in partnership with Roundhouse they're producing seriously good revivals of great musicals and fine classic American dramas. We'll come back again in September for In the Heights, and we might even get season tickets: reliable live theater, easy to get to, excellent seating and staging!

Theater has been updated...with new seats. You will appreciate the reclining seats and seat choices, if the movie is not a "sell out" and theater is not too full. You might choose to use the venue in the earlier part of the day, as it seems to be cleaner.

This is a great little park with the lake that has a walking trail all the way around. There are picnic shelters, volleyball courts, a Children’s play area and many other things to keep you busy.Be warned that on a nice sunny spring or summer day at the weekend, it can be tough to find parking. The walking trail around round Lake is 2.4 miles and if you add in some of the other additional trails, you can get close to 3 miles. In summertime, you can rent boats and kayaks.

At $29 a round, this course was okay. The interesting layout and the challenge of a real penalty for missed shots made up for the overall poor condition - tight, forested fairways, water hazards, elevation changes, and creative short-game situations. BUT, the new highway came through and ruined the best hole, conditions are generally worse, and the increase to $49 renders it not worth the price of admission. The greens were patchy and inconsistent, the fringes not puttable, and the tee areas fairly chewed up. The irons-only driving range and tiny practice green are subpar. The food used to be great, but since the grill was closed when I was there, who knows anymore?

This is a great place to drop in to learn more about the area. I found this place when I wanted to learn more about the trails and appreciated the map. Also a good place to start your forest hike ... they have clean restrooms!
