Wandered on Broadway waiting for car service and EXTREMELY PLEASED I found this shop. It brought back memories of old time candy shops. Lots and lots of choices. Many candies that you would only see in a shop like this. They also had a wide assortment of toys. Not a huge assortment but enough interesting things to keep you exploring all the things they had. Selected a toy train set for some kids visiting our neighborhood. John was a pleasure to talk with. He is a community gem.

The Peninsula Museum of Art enhances the community and enriches lives through art and education, featuring outstanding artists of the Greater Bay Area with exhibitions, art classes for children and adults, special events, and working artist studios.
First of all, it's free (donation) which is fantastic. They have a nice collection of rotating exhibits and you can walk around and visit artist galleries in the building. If the artist is there, you can talk and get insight into their craft. It was a very cool experience. It's within walking distance of anywhere in Burlingame. The building itself is also very nice ... kind of an art school feel. You should visit it when/if you can as the building will be torn down for condos.

The Burlingame Museum of PEZ Memorabilia features an example of every Pez candy dispenser sold - now over 1000 pieces. Other Classic Toys have been added to the museum. Our newest exhibit features banned toys - including the 1951 Atomic Energy Laboratory and Lawn Darts.
This little shop contains so much cool history about something that brought so many people so much joy as a child and even later on in life as an adult. When you first walk in you see immediately collections of PEZ dispensers that are quite rare. Now if you rush through this place and only look at the surface level you might not feel very engaged however, the owner Gary is more than happy to answer any questions that you have and provides a friendly and informative background to most any question that you, shall I say dispense, in his general direction. I learned more about this quirky little candy dispenser in a half hour than I ever knew my entire life. It's the little shops like this that make for a wonderful experience. (Even if this particular historical fact might give you a cavity...!)

I have been staying for years at the Bay Landing Hotel and always enjoy watching the shorebirds from the window of my room. On my most recent visit I noticed that there is a small protected area next to the hotel that protects their habitat. If you are staying nearby it's worth walking along the path next to the SF bay to watch the birds. Next time I visit I will be bringing a bird identification guide along with me!

Perfect jump start for beginners. I had no experience before this class, and now I understand the basics and feel comfortable to proceed with shooting practice
