I had the opportunity to have a tour with Kukki Jr. The tour was along with a traveling group that I was apart of. Kukki was great. Along the way to the cave paintings, Kukki showed us the different birds, flora and fauna of the area. When we got to the cave, I was so impressed and this for me was the highlight of India. I was excited to hear about Kukki Sr and Kukki Jr's story and was inspired. If you go, you will see how passionate they are and it was wonderful to learn of the discoveries they have encountered. I am not sure about the cost since this was prepaid part of the tour that I was on, however, I can tell you that if you happen to be in Bundi, take the time and money to have a tour with Kukki, you won't regret it. Would recommend to wear good walking shoes, bring hat, and long pants.

Geet Art & Jewellery is a must do for anyone staying in Bundi. Geet, the “mango man”, was very talented and helped us craft the jewellery from scratch. All round amazing experience!

Namastey My name is Artist Gopal from Bundi City. I make traditional paintings. I make also Travel Comics & Portraits.
When visiting Bundi,we met Gopal in his small and charming shop. He is a very gifted painter and even more important he is a very nice and friendly person! We loved a painting he had hanging on his walls but it was too big for us to carry it. As we had to leave the other morning he agreed to paint it especially for us in postcard size at the same evening! Thank you Gopal for your beautiful work...it's hanging on our wall now and reminds us of India every day!

This ruinous palace makes a dramatic and extravagant backdrop behind and over the simple little town of Bundi, but climb up through deserted courtyards and bat infested galleries to discover hidden art. Beautiful wall paintings, some Chinese dating back hundreds of years adorn walls and ceilings of old royal apartments. Well worth the effort.

We hired a random guide and went alllll the way up to the top. Looking back, we should have bailed, since hubby's knee was painful for MONTHS afterward

Bundi has many step Wells and is famous for them. Pick your season carefully as following the monsoon, most will be full and you will see little of the steps or the depth of the well. However, the photo shown above is not in Bundi but some 150 miles north in Abhaneri, mid way between Jaipur and Agra. It is known as Chand Baori step well and is truly spectacular. Well worth a detour to visit.

Well worth a visit, this well is pretty spectacular. Elaborate carvings, stonework elephants everywhere and a deliciously cool retreat from the heat of the day.
