Back Beach is one of this southern city's most popular beaches. It's great for paddling or swimming; you can also fish, and cook you catch on the BBQs. Back Beach is on Geographe Bay, named after the early French explorers. Bunbury is not known for its surf, so the attempt to create surfable waves with the Airwave project created interest.

" The Cut" was dredged ( in thr 1950s) to drain the Leschenault Estuary - dolphins frequent "The Cut" hunting for fish & " Turkey Point" is a magnificent ( & beautiful) location to view the dolphins ( for free) &/or park & walk down to the beach for a swim or stroll. " Turkey Point" ( on the west side of " The Cut") is also a VERY good fishing location. key

An excellent place to swim in summer or take a stroll in winter. If you dont want to go down to the beach the car park is along the beach so you can sit in the car to admire the ocean or watch the magnificent sunsets.
