Members are often heard to say: ‘Even if I am not having a good round I still enjoy the spectacular views and realise how lucky I am to be playing golf here.’ At East Devon Golf Club we extend a friendly welcome to members and visitors alike. Situated on the cliff top above Budleigh Salterton, at 6344 yards the well drained fairways, close cropped links turf and challenging greens offer a fair and interesting test of golf. Add to this, the views, colours and the stunning natural habitat and you have the ideal place to enjoy your golf. Thanks to excellent drainage the course is rarely closed due to adverse weather conditions and exceptional golf can be enjoyed all year round. Visit us and you won’t be disappointed.
Played here one evening last week and what a stunning golf course. The professional is a credit to your club, perfect gentleman and knowledgeable. The course condition was fantastic especially the greens, beautiful! For me the front nine is the better half , some fantastic holes on it. The tenth hole though has to be the signature hole, what a fantastic par 3. Only slight criticism but I emphasise slight Is the 16th and 17th holes are slightly disappointing. The clubhouse welcome was very pleasant and didn't feel stuffy at all. Will definitely be back for a game when we are next in the area. Excellent golf course and great value on the twilight deal.

One of Devon’s best known art galleries, Brook Gallery came into existence in 1997 and since then has moved from strength to strength gaining an excellent reputation across the UK and beyond, selling limited edition, original prints. Our collections incorporate a broad spectrum of styles, through an enviable catalogue of some of the most influential artists in the UK today.
A good place to browse and enjoy the work of a broad spectrum of contemporary artists in a regularlly changign display. Particularly taken with the Norman Ackroyd prints....still trying to decide which one to chose!

Boutique vineyard open all year offering Award Winning Wines for sale and Guided Tours.
The vineyard visit was really interesting and focussed on how the vineyard came about and how the wine making has progressed. Four reasonably sized samples of wines were presented afterwards for tasting. There is no pressure of expectation to purchase wines afterwards. All of the wines were excellent. The wines aren’t cheap but that’s because they aren’t mass produced and the prices reflect the quality and care that goes in to making them. A highly recommended visit and relaxing afternoon.

Inland from Budleigh Salterton, this 3.8 mile moderate walk travels along the route of the old railway line, through scenic woodland which is home to an abundance of wildlife, including bats and lizards. Coming back along the South West Coast Path there are stunning red cliffs, and the remains of a signal station built to warn of enemy vessels during the Napoleonic Wars.
The path climbs up out of town to finish high up at the Beacon. Great views up on top and a good pub (The Feathers) to rest up in once back down.

An easy 2.7 mile stroll along the South West Coast Path through the breathtakingly beautiful Lower Otter Valley with its wonderful diversity of wildlife. The valley is managed as a nature reserve. There are hides and viewing platforms along the river, as well as an abundance of information en route. Look out for dragonflies and kingfishers, moths and butterflies, frogs and fish, ducks and waders.
Just a very pleasant walk for all ages along the River Otter from Budleigh beach followed by a walk along the coastal path back to Budleigh Salterton.
