I’ve been coming here for a while and this little gem always satisfies. Cigar selection is great from the custom humidor in a century old bank vault. There’s local drafts if you’re thirsty and the CV crew are all great folks.

Doc’s Drive In Theatre offers two large screens, the best food around right inside Doc’s Patio Diner and some great beer and wine options upstairs at Mama Merlot’s.
Doc's is just south of downtown Austin - close enough to get to easily but far enough away that going to the drive in is still a pastoral, perfect experience. It's so low-key and also so super fun. The movies are all double screenings and are old favorites, and there are two different screens on the property. The owners and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, the food is great (get the s'mores that comes with a little sterno burner so you can toast your own marshmallows) and the local beer at the upstairs bar is great (they have wine too.) It was just a lot of fun, and would be a great way to experience the land outside the city for visitors with a car - and their house smoked brisket is great and is featured on several menu items. Under the vast Texas sky, beer in hand, watching Twister or Back to the Future or Shaun of the Dead or the original Friday the 13th - it doesn't get much better.

Local craft brewery serving draft beer in our casual tap room. Family and pet friendly. Patio seating also available.
My husband, son, and I stopped in to check out this cool spot! We tried four different types of their craft beer and were blown away! They were all delicious! The staff was super nice and we got to meet one of the owners, very extending and personable! So excited to see the new improvements to their outdoor eating area this spring! We heard the food was good too! Coming back again!
